Crash

I picked up the paintbrushes that I knocked over in attempt to create my next piece. I had a lot of trouble because I was used to the beautiful scenery in Norway, the only place I have really known, but now I live just outside of Chicago. I mean don't take it the wrong way, the place is good-looking and all it is just not Norway. It's just that when I moved to America it felt that my life is going noway.

"Er du ok der oppe?," My mother called. (Are you okay up there?)

"Jeg er fin mor," I said. (I am fine mother)

"Middagen er om ti minutter," said my mother. (Dinner is in ten minutes)

"har det," I replied. (Got it)

I put away my paintbrushes and my pallet. I don't even know why I bother with painting anymore. Many people say I am amazing and I should keep doing what I am doing. Firstly, I am just good. Secondly, there is nothing I want to paint anymore. Lastly, when I moved this summer Norway was not the only thing I left behind. My passion of painting was left behind too.  I did not think of painting anymore or at least as much I used to. I have been engulfed with my soccer and cross country skiing.

I finally finished putting away my supplies and I started to head down stairs.

"Jeg laget Lutefisk," said my mother as I neared the end of the stairs. ( I made Lutefisk)

"min favoritt," I said as I made my way to the table sitting down by my father. (My favorite)

My sibling also started to make their way to the table and our mother brought out the food. I took a bite of the lutefist and it made me instantly fell like I was in my home town of Oslo again. And once I smiled my mother instantly knew she had made the dish well. Once we were done I made my way to the kitchen and placed my plate in the dishwasher.

"Olivia blir ikke opp for sent," called my mother (olivia don't stay up too late)

"Fint," I said (fine)

Hahah right tomorrow was my first day of a new school. I was entering grade 11. I did not know many people at the school. I was friends with the girls at soccer and I know a few who are on my street, but that is basically it. I start reading a book that was on my nightstand and continued to read it. My eyes started to flutted close. I was a sleep and I was dreaming I am in Norway one again.
