you never realize it when you meet your first love. You don't get a magical feeling when you see them. You don't automatically know that that is the person you'll be dreaming about. I, for one, had no idea that when I saw that girl across the room at a boring Halloween party, while holding hands with my boyfriend, would be the first person I fell head over heels for. That may seem confusing, but trust me it'll all make sense sooner or later. There's no better place to start than at the beginning.

It all started on October 29th. I was sitting in my math class,it may have seemed like I was listening to my teacher drone on and on about our upcoming test, but my mind was a million miles away. Ever since I was young, I felt left out. When all of my friends were talking about boys, I just didn't see the appeal, until I met Ethan. Ethan was sweet, handsome, and he liked me. The first boy who had ever had a crush on me was the boy everyone in school was after, but I wasn't sure of my feelings. Everyone talks about crushes like they're some amazing phenomenon that turns you into some blushing idiot, but that wasn't the case for me. Sure, Ethan was nice, but he didn't give me butterflies like all of my girl friends said crushes did. But, I thought I'd give it a chance. It didn't really help that all of my friends practically forced me to type out a yes when he asked me to be his girlfriend. As i was zoned out, I felt my phone vibrate on my desk.

ethan: hey babe, I just got invited to a Halloween party, you got any plans?

me: i dont think so. Who else is going?

ethan: damn near the whole school, im sure more people you know will be there.

me: alrighty, i'll go

ethan: :))

With that, I put my phone back down, and actually started paying attention to the lesson. I couldn't afford to fail another test. I had to always be at the top of my game when it came to classes, how else would I get out of this town? I had always dreamed of leaving this tiny, boring town, and junior year was the year I'd get my ticket out of here, all the way to UCLA, but only if i kept my grades perfect. The teachers monotone voice pierced through my ears and my hand rapidly scribbled down notes until the bell rang, finally putting me out of my misery.

Hi guys! I hope you liked that chapter, I know its super short, but as I get more inspiration I'll write longer chapters. Let me know if theres anything else you wanna see or any suggestions for the storyline!
