The idea that everyone has a fated partner, the concept that love can't be painful or full of suffering. That was the promise the founders of this world gave, the perfect image of a life only full of perfected love.
: These were the rules that the creator of this world created, in hopes of achieving their life-long dreams.
- An individual only has one soulmate within their lives, there are no exceptions to this. They also cannot see anyone else's strings besides their own and their partner's.
- Cupids are individuals who have no soulmate, cursed but also blessed. Society treats them as celebrities, they have abilities varying by each Cupid and the color designated to them. All Cupids have the ability to see the strings connecting an individual to their partner, they may choose to play matchmaker to help speed up the process if they chose to. However, due to the bitter fact that they have no partner, they often choose not to get involved. There are 3 Cupids introduced in the story, but in the world there can only exist 10 of them at once.
- If it so happens that one's soulmate is to die, the string will fade and burn the shape of a ring into the finger. When two soulmates meet and vow to one another through an act of intimacy the string becomes visible to others as a golden ring. Once vowed, an act of disloyalty through intimacy is prevented by 'fate' by causing excruciating pain to the individual. This way the path of fate is sealed and protected forever.
- There are some individuals who refuse to follow their destiny, claiming it wrong to have to love a stranger they've never met before simply because they are chosen for them by the 'gods'.These people try to live their lives trying to refrain from being with their soulmates. However, many fail and give in after a few years once they meet their soulmates because they end driving themselves insane with the pressure. Many idealize the aspect of falling in love normally through bonds and try to achieve that but fail to realize they not only hold back their own aging but also their chosen partner's futures. And many chase after the idea of immortality but can't bear the reality of it after few years.
- When you turn 18 through the age of 24 you may begin to see a red string tied to your ring finger, once you meet your soulmate and decide to be together, by performing an act of intimacy you enter into the universal concept of 'marriage'. When this happens the string fades into a golden ring upon the couple's fingers and become visible to others. If a partner is to pass away, the string will fade into a burned mark around the individual's finger, becoming visible to others.
- People who have engaged in the act of intimacy with their soulmate cannot cheat or stray, if they attempt such an action excruciating pain will stop them as well as their feelings immediately numbed so their greed and will to continue is subdued.
- Because Cupids do not have soulmates, they mess around with the individuals who have not yet found their partner or have not engaged in any act of intimacy with them. They do not target the trainees and youth under the age of 18, and they cannot have relations with other Cupids. Their abilities also do not affect other cupids. (Cupids do not normally get along with one another) But once Cupids have marked someone they normally do not continue to flirt or mess with others. To have any relations beyond friendship with a Cupid is highly looked down upon.
- Within this world, the school system is also corrected. Kids aging from 4 to 10 go to school to learn the general classes. At this time, they are examined closely and carefully, for it is when they are most curious to learn and begin to develop a sense of what their interests are. At ages 11-13 they then determining through genes and personality as well as considering their strongest subjects are given the chance to develop a list of 5 different broad topics. When they turn 14 they choose one specific topic, much like majors in college. They may also choose an extra sub-topic, much like minors you can take. From then on until the age of 18, they undergo serious studying and hands-on training in that field. Referred to as trainees- they graduate when they turn 18 and may choose to either go straight into a career or become an apprentice under someone who curretly works as a professional over the age of 24. Those who go under apprenticeship are guaranteed a higher ranking job once they finish their 2-3 years than when they started off with.
- Through the work world, pay and status is based off the ranking within one's job. Much like a hierarchy of construct, the lowest 30% will have minimum wage of $12p/h. Then follows the average peoples, making up around 50% of the workers to earn $15p/h. The next 10% earns $20p/h, and the top 10%'s known as 'Elites' earn from $30-45p/h, making them the richest within their career. (This structure is how each career line works, ex. Biology, Psychology, Entertainment, etc.)
- The top 10% of elites within the entire working population are families with big names, they are the richest families and control much of the society with great power. Government within the world is not public, instead the wisest and fairest world leaders form an anonymous council, not revealing their identities to the world.
