I was now just one block to the house I grew up in and I could see it from a distance. It was bubbling, like they were having a party and truly they were throwing a party for me.

"Hey mum, how is everything?"
"Fine, I guess. Your dad's business is not really doing well as it was before so getting money for Finn's college is a little hard. We don't know what to do" I heard sniffing. Mum is just too emotional.
" oh mum, please stop crying. I'll send some amount of money to you when I get some" I tried to assure her.
"Okay but take good care of yourself first. What about the interview you went for, you passed it right?"
"About that, i----"
"I knew it, I knew you were going to pass it. Come home okay, your daddy wants to see you. He'll be so happy that his first daughter has finally made her dreams." How can I tell her that I failed it because I'm pregnant.
"Okay mum, I'm free today so I can come" maybe i should just drop the bomb.
"We'll be expecting you, bye. We love you" and she cut the call before I could reply her.
