Yoko Kurama ,the most notorious thief in both Spirit and Demon World ,was a fox demon feared not only for his overwhelming strenght and intelligence but also for his ruthless and merciless ways to deal with his foes. His favorite activity was ancient treasure hunting. One day a rumour suddenly spread about an ancient pendant known as „The Crescent Moon” that when wore by anyone would increase one's strenght tenfold and it was also said to be very expensive if sold to one specific merchant that lived on top of the highest mountain of Demon World. Eventhough Yoko was nearly one of the strongest A-class demons and had little need for such an artifact he wanted to gain the mysterious item out of pure pride and selfishness. Eventhough the rumours said the pendant was guarded by Demon’s World’s strongest guardians Yoko had no problem retrieving the mysterious item but he felt something was strange about this treasure ,something truly terrifying. When he stared at the pendant he had a vision of a little red-haired human child who was playing with plants. At first this vision didn’t bother Yoko but as he looked more and more into the pendant he was seeing the child as he was growing. This had him very scared and as a result he decided to sell the artifact to that specific merchant he was told about. When he arrived at the merchant’s place he seen only an old house that was almost ready to crumble. He knocked at the door and was surprised to see an old geezer with a long white beard. „Are you Mako the artifact merchant ? The one that seekes this priceless pendant known as The Crescent Moon ?”... „I see I am rather famous around these realms of the Demon World. Yes, that would be me” ,replied the old Geezer „I see the all-mighty fox demon Yoko lives up to his reputation as a truly powerful artifact collector.Why am I not suprised ?”. Yoko looked into the old man’s eyes and seen a rather dangerous spark when he was gazing at the pendant and he asked the geezer why did he want this mysterious item. „Since you went through the trouble of bringing it here I might as well tell you. The rumours about this pendant say that when wore by someone it increases that person’s strenght ,well that is partially true. As you know true strenght is pure knowledge”...”What do you mean by that ?”,asked Yoko very reluctant. „I am sure you had a vision when you first looked at the pendant ,do you have any idea what that vision is ? It’s the future” .The very moment Mako finished his words Yoko stabbed the old geezer right in the chest using a rose : „I knew your name sounded familiar to me. Mako ,the wolf demon known all around Demon World for using ancient artifacts to increase his strenght”. Suddenly the old man beggined to laugh : „I am rather honoured that I was acknowledged by the great Yoko himself however a dead demon’s acknowledgement doesn’t count”. That moment the appearence of the old man started to feign away and a werewolf-like creature appeared in front of Yoko : „So this is your true form. They say a wolf changes his coat but never his behaviour. Even if you are as strong as the stories say you are I’d advice you not to corner an animal like a fox ,we have a tendency to show our teeth”. In the attempt to hit Yoko ,Mako accidentally struck The Crescent Moon with an energy wave causing it to blow up when the pendant’s spirit energy made collision with Mako’s demon energy. The explosion was so powerful that it killed the wolf demon and forced Yoko to use his remaining demon energy to block the explosion. While Yoko was trying to rest and regain a portion of his strenght to go back to his hideout ,a Spirit World detective suddenly started to attack Yoko in the attempt to capture and bring him in front of Spirit World’s Court of Justice for countless crimes and murderes. Injured and weak ,Yoko tried to make a quick escape but failed. His last resort was to transfer his demon essence into the Human World in order to remain alive. It seems fortune was on Yoko’s side since he became the unborn child of Shiori and Akito Minamino ,that would provide Yoko with enough time to regain his energy adn return into Demon World. When Shiori first saw her child she already had a name for him : „I shall call him Shuuichi”. For the first time when Yoko opened his eyes as Shuuichi Minamino he was shocked to see that he had red hair and looked exactly like the little human child who was playing with plants : „Is this the future that I’ve seen in The Crescent Moon ? Am I doomed to remain a human child forever ? No,that cannot be possible. Once I regain my demon energy I’ll return to Demon World as fast as I can”. However Yoko’s plans to remain as Shuuichi Minamino in the Human World for as short as possible were crushed by the fact that demons regain energy much more slowly when they are out of Demon World. At first Yoko despised his new human form but as time passed he started to enjoy the life he had as an ordinary child and he even got very attached to his parents ,however how they say „Good things don’t last for long”. One day Shuuichi was feeling very ill and cannot get up from his bed ,he had a very high body temperature and his green eyes suddenly started to lose their bright colour and eventually turned into something that looked like fox eyes. The moment his eyes were wide open Shuuichi transformed the rose in the vase next to his bed into a thorned rose-whip and stabbed his father in the heart without even noticing. That was the very first moment Shuuichi started to realise that the personality of Yoko was starting to overwhelm Shuuichi’s mind and he was losing control over his actions. Also that was the first time that Yoko had actually cried over someone’s death. Shuuichi decided to forfeit the ruthless personality of Yoko because he became very attached to his human parents and that now only his mother Shiori was alive he had the more reason to protect her.
