Chapter I

Michelle walked out the small restaurant shaking the plastic bag up and down, without caring about the looks by the passers-by – she was so different from the sober London society! -, extremely happy. After months of anxiety and study, she finally got the scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music, and to live in London to learn music was a dream to her.

Distracter by the music that was coming to her ears, she walked down the streets singing, and even dancing when she thought no one was looking. Her personality really didn’t match with the place.

Suddenly, the plastic bag went higher. Michelle lost her breath and felt on the ground, stunned while one of her earphones dropped out, throwing her into reality. A tall boy, in the same situation as her, was starring at her with his big blue eyes.

He got up, picking up his stuff from the ground, while Michelle looke with despondency to her food spreaded out on the floor. She had a few pounds on her pocket, but not enough to buy more.

The boy offered his hand to her and helped her to get up, that blushed a little while looking at the food. He gave a slight smile and asked:

“It was your dinner?” She nodded her head, checking if her phones were working. “I’m so sorry, I’ll buy another thing to you”, he answered, looking in his pockets for money.

“Y-you don’t have to. I must have something at home”  Michele sais with a smile. The kindness coming from this complete stranger was weird and cute, somehow. “But thank you for offering.”

“You’re welcome” She smiled and  said goodbye with a low voice, and walked away. The boy stopped to admire the sun reflected on her black hair and called her. She turned around with a surprised look and a smile, and he asked:

“At least, can I know your name?” She felt her heart skipping a beat, and asked to herself why she was feeling that way.

“Michelle”, she answered, and runned out. He gave a low laugh, and started to walk, thinking about the girl’s name. With that name and that accent she couldn’t be English.

Michelle walked into the apartment running, stumbling in the carpet as always. “You took to long just to by food. Where is it?” Prudence, one of her house mates asked. “Ah, I bumped with some guy and it felt all over the floor”.

Prudence, Lucy and Pam were Michelle’s friends, and they were sharing the apartment  for roughly three months. They were used to the knack of small-town and clumsy of the brazilian, that were trying to get the rhythm of the London girls.

“A boy? LUCY AND SADIE, MEETING IN THE LIVING ROOM, NOW!” Prudence shouted, putting her long hair back while putted some earrings.

It was Saturday, and generally the girl went out to meet their boyfriends. Michelle’s boyfriend was in Brazil, so she stayed at hope to practice some more violin or just relax watching a movie. The four of them were there to study something, and used to spend most of their time out, but when they were together, it seemed like  they were best friends since ever.

Michelle rolled her eyes while the other girls asked questions. “How was he, Mich? Pleease, tell us!”, was the predominant question, and she laugh while answered “Girls, chill! It was a normal guy. Brown hair. Blue eyes. And that super sexy accent that you guys have.” Sadie, that knew her better that the other because they were roommates, gave a smirk. “Oh, please, Michelle. Who are you trying to deceive? Look, she blushed while she talked about him!” The brunette frowned, making a pout. “Look, I just found him extremely cute. I have a boyfriend in Brazil, ok? ” The other three looked at each other, laughting.

“Ok, deny it if you want to. But we know the truth”. Michelle made a face and want to take  a bath. When she finally came out, she was alone at home. The girls had already left, and according to the note on the table, they’ve left something for her on the oven.

“Ok, let’s see if Caio is online tonight”, she thought.

Charlie was in his bedroom since he got home, and Alex found it a bit weird. He reached to his friend’s bedroom, and sitted in his bed. Charlie looked at him surprised, he hadn’t noticed Alex coming in. “Tell me, what happened? You’re acting weird since you got home”. Charlie sighted and answered “It’s a girl.” “Do I know her?” “No, you don’t. Neither do I.” Alex looked at him, confused. “What you mean, dude?” “I was walking and bumped with her” “Oh… Do you know her name, at least?” “Yes. Michelle.”Charlie answered with a smile. Alex gave him a little puch, and stopped to listen to somethin.

“Today the violinist started sooner.” “Yeah. I think it’s too weird, I’ve never saw any of the girls from that apartment.” “Ah, I saw two of them, they were talking and seems like all of them go out in the morning to study and just comeback late at night. That’s why we never met them.” Alex stopped listening to the music again. “She seems to be angry.” He waited for answer, but Charlie was totally immerse on his thoughts. With a smile, Alex left the room.
