Butterflies

She watched in despair

As they fell from the air

Their wings now useless

Her life a wicked mess

A disgusting deed

If butterflies could bleed

These ones sure did

She wished to get rid

Of a gentle life source

All by force

She bore a frown

As more fell down

The pain unbearable

The feeling terrible

The more they bled

Even more tears she shed

She counted twenty four

Her sad little metaphor

She curled into a ball

Against the closest wall

Tears spilled again

Surely she knew this wasn't the end.

"The world is cruel

Don't listen to a mindless fool."
