"Aha, I see someone."

"No, Anya, really-" Nita protested but I waved her off.

"Who said he was for you." I winked before getting up from the bar and making my way to a guy in a leather jacket.

I grabbed a napkin from a nearby table then subtly dropped it next to him. I looked around the room until I felt a hand tap my shoulder.

I turn and the man was holding up the napkin I just so purposely dropped.

"Miss, I think you dropped this."

I smiled, "I'm sorry about that." I took the napkin from his hand, slightly brushing my fingers over his. "Thank you."

"Uh, no problem." He lifted up the corner of his lip, a small dimple showing. "Would you like to sit?"

I glanced at the chair he motioned to with his hand before looking back to him. "Oh, I don't know. I wouldn't want to impose or anything."

He shook his head. "You're not imposing. I'm alone."

I smirked. "Well then," I slid into the seat across from him. "Don't mind if I do."

He chuckled before putting his hand out. "Daniel."

I shook his fairly large hand. "Anya."

Taking his hand back, he crossed his arms over the table. "Anya? Is that short for anything?"

"No, not really." I said.

"It's a beautiful name"

"It's just a name." I shrugged.

Before he could comment, the next performer walked onto the stage with a guitar. He introduced himself then began to sing. When a waiter turned his head in our direction, I got his attention by circling my finger. He nodded, knowing I meant to send a round.

"So, where are you from?" Daniel asked me.

"A small town. You probably never heard of it."

"Try me." He said.

Before I could come up with some sort of excuse, the waiter brought over two shots. I thanked him before facing Daniel again. He looked down at the glasses in front of me. "It's that sort of night for you?"

I shrugged. "It kinda always is." I downed the shots then grabbed a lime from a bowl on the table and placed it in my mouth.

Daniel watched my every move, taking a sip of his whiskey from his cup.

"Do you want to get out of here?" I asked him as I wiped the corners of my mouth.

Slightly taken back, Daniel nodded. "Sure. But I have my roommate here with me."

"Same here." I smiled. "I'll bring her along."

"Alright then."

We both got up and exchanged numbers. "I'll text you the address."

"See you there."
