Skipping down the stairs at school is probably not the best idea ever, because perhaps you'll miscalculate something and end up falling head first while everyone stares at you.

'' I survived! '', I say over excited as I raise up and throw my hands in the air triumphantly.

Everyone stares at me before erupting in laughter.

I shrug and laugh. I rather they laugh with me than at me.

I run away towards the public library; it's a couple blocks away. When I get in the building I check my watch, it's 5:05 which means I got 2 hours of books. Life's so good to me.

I go directly to the Biographies section and grab 'The diary of Anne Frank'.
________

Beep beep

I hear an alarm sounding and wake up; shoot, I fell asleep. My watch shows 9:45.

Damn, the library already closed. I try to find a solution but that alarm isn't helping.

I follow the sound coming from an old clock belonging to an asleep boy with glasses. I click where it says off and enjoy the silence. How is he still asleep?

Finally at peace, I decide to check the main door. But before I can move the cute guy wakes up, he's about my age but I've never seen him before.

''Look at this poor girl '', is he talking about me? '' What're you doing here? The living usually leave early.'' He says thoughtfully.

The living? '' Are you a ghost or some bamboozle? '' I blurt out.

His eyes widen and he gets up. ''C-can you see me?''

'' Why wouldn't I be able? ''

'' Well, I'm dead and you're not. ''

This is obviously a prank, maybe I'm too tired, I need coffee . I ignore the blondie in front of me and turn around to walk towards the door, yet he follows me.

'' I'm Chadwick, but call me Chad'', he says enthusiastic,'' I've been here for waaay too long but I like it because I can read a lot, I'm reading the dia-''. He shuts up when I halt , try to open the door, fail, and yell.

I sit down and decide to talk to my new ghost friend, I've become oficially a lunatic.

'' I'm also reading that one'', I add as I lay my back in the door.

''Wow, I didn't think you would read'', he replies.

''Why? Because I'm young ? ''

'' And a woman, I never met one that read. But it's great to know things changed for good. ''

'' Well, you'd be amazed by how much we've advanced'', I laughed and noticed a glint of curiosity on his blue eyes.

''Can you tell me more?'' He asks, giving me puppy dog eyes.

I nod awkwardly ''Sure''

'' I'm really glad we met, uhm, your name? ''

''Alana''

''Alana, I like it. We'll be great friends, I can feel it.''

''Hope you're right, Chad''

He gives me a boyish grin and I smile back. Then I start explaining him about schools and rights until we both fall asleep.
