"LAUREN JADE GILMAN. ITS TIME FOR school!" a loud and clear voice echoed from downstairs, into lauren's room. the blonde groaned, before rolling out of bed and heading over to her bathroom.
she walked out of the bathroom 10 minutes later, wearing a purple crop top, topped off with ripped jeans and a pair of checkered vans. her blonde hair was brush down nearly, as most days it was.
grabbing her backpack, phone, and camera, she headed downstairs where her mom was there to greet her. "first day of your new school. you excited?" asked her mom. lauren just rolled her eyes, as she grabbed a banana to eat.
lauren was finally being transferred to west lake high, after two years of being in davie high. her freshman year and sophomore year of high school, she was forced to go to davie high, due to west lake high not having enough space for her.
yet the school had enough space for her brother and his girlfriend. strange, but lauren didn't mind it. this year, she was being transferred to west lake high, after some kid decided to leave for some reason.
"yea, yea sure. is matthew able to take me?" she asked as her brother came down the stairs moment later. "let's go now. i have to pick up alexa," matthew replied to his sister, as she just shrugged her shoulders before saying bye to her mom and following her brother out the door.
along the way to alexa's house, lauren took pictures of the new landscape, she would learn to see everyday. her camera filled up with pictures of the houses and buildings on their way.
at last, they arrive at alexa's house, as the brunette was just walking out of her doorway and heading towards the car. "hey babe. hey lolo," alexa said happily as she hopped into the car and gave matthew a peak on the lips.
the blonde waved to the brunette, as matthew pulled out of the drive away and back on the course to school. lauren was getting anxious by the second, and taking pictures was the only relief she had in her system.
suddenly, the car stopped and they had arrived at the school yard. kids surrounded the doors and the parking lots, and the three kids entered the doors of west lake high.
"you can find the office if you keep going straight and then make a right at the end," alexa said to the blonde as she just nodded. the two exchanged hugs, and lauren waved to her brother goodbye, before setting off to find the office.
she found her way to the office, and now was at the front desk asking for her schedule. "hi i'm lauren gilman. i'm new and i need my schedule, please," she said kindly to the receptionist.
the lady in the front just nodded, before walking over to the printer to grab her schedule. from the corner of her eye, two girls had entered the office and were talking to one of the ladies there.
"here is your schedule young lady. lara and lakelyn should be here any moment to give you a tour around the school," the receptionist implied to the blonde as she just thanked her, before going to sit down at the chairs.
moment later, the two girls in the office started walking towards lauren, making her a bit anxious to see what they were near her. "are you lauren gilman, by any chance?" the blonde asked her when the two girls arrived.
she nodded. "and you both are?" she asked, trying not to sound rude. the girls chuckled a bit. "i'm lara, and this is lakelyn. we will be giving you a tour around the school."
the blonde stands up from the chairs. "nice to meet you both," she said with a smile on her face. the three girls walked out of the office, ready to tour the school.
