AN INTERVIEW WITH IVY BUXTON

Today in the GQ office we have the fabulous, smart, beautiful model Ivy Buxton! Everyone probably already knows who she is but Ivy has been the face of Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein and has been featured with them in GQ a couple times. She's this months cover so we're going to do a 20 Question interview!

How are you doing today Ivy?
Pretty good, Cecil. I've got a busy next two months but I have a free-ish two weeks!

Any upcoming plans you can tell us about?
I'll be walking in New York, Milan, Paris and London fashion weeks and I have some special projects coming out soon.

Favorite color?
Blue or like a planty green.

If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
I really want to go back to Russia or Thailand!

Dream pet?
Ooh! Sugar glider or a bunny.

Song you're obsessed with right now?
BOOGIE by my besties in BROCKHAMPTON or the whole Carrie and Lowell album by Sulfjan Stevens.

Favorite show?
Oh God, I have so many! I love Mad Men to death and That 70's Show was a big part of my teenage years.

Favorite movie?
The Leonardo DiCaprio Romeo and Juliet, hey Leo hit me up I guess. I am in his age range aren't I now? Oh goodness can we take that out I'm blushing, sorry Tim, love you forever! No, but that movie has been one of my favorites for so long but the giant Harry Potter fan wants to say the Harry Potter movies too!

What's your Zodiac sign?
Aries!

Hogwarts house?
Don't come at me but I'm a damn proud Slytherin! I have all sorts of Slytherin merch in my house and wardrobe, I made Timothée take the quiz and he got Slytherin and so is my brother, hehe.

Everyone knows your boys, Timothée and your brother Bailey, are pretty much your whole world; but who are the other people in Ivy Buxton's life?
I'm glad you got the stinkbugs out of the way. Besides those boys there's the other boys that I pretty much force myself upon everytime I'm here in LA, the BROCKHAMPTON men.
I love them to death since they were some of the first people I knew here, but of corse they also made my engagement possible. There's also my old roommates and first friends in the industry Ingrid snd Kaia, my girls I love you. Also in the past year I'be been able to cozy up to Bella and Gigi and take some trips to the farm, mostly to see Yolanda and Kaia and Kenny when they're there. All of us are so spread out though so we just have to make it work when we can.

If you could go back to anytime in history where would you go?
Early two-thousands or the seventies probably, the sixties if there wasn't sexism though.

Favorite season?
Winter without a doubt but French summers are amazing!

If you were in the Olympics what sport would you do?
Is rock climbing an Olympic sport? I've been watching Bailey and friends and exes skateboard for years around the city, and my dad did it; so I can do a shuv-it or grind on a rail if need be.

Coffee or tea?
Tea or energy drinks, coffee makes me feel like I'm actually dying.

Dream car?
Ooh this is hard because I'm a subway, city person all the way but an old Volvo or Tesla maybe? I don't think about cars too much, I didn't get my license till a year ago when I was 21 either. I do love my friends Porsche Cayennes when I'm in LA.

What fad do you wish would come back?
Bell bottoms or cartoonish flower print probably.

Favorite Christmas song or movie?
No no no, Chanukah is where it's at! I've never seen Elf or Home Alone, sue me but I know the who Dreidel song and the Latke song.

Do you want a family of your own?
I mean yes, I wouldn't be too opposed to birthing kids but I'd rather adopt, I like the idea of having a twins, a boy and a girl, but man theres so many kids out there who need families. I want a dog super bad but I'm too busy right now for it. I think maybe once T and I are settled in one of his next locations for filming that could be amazing to get a rescue.

What's it like being engaged?
It's interesting but I like it. It's weird to have another odd label for our relationship but I like having this odd sense of security that we are getting married even though we don't feel to ready to be married yet. Our engagement is more of a 'we're so in love and it didn't feel right to be dating but we still don't want to be married yet because we're so young and so busy and working all the time' type thing. T and I have been in eachothers orbit, we figured it out the other day acctually, since my junior, his senior year, of high school.

Final question, where do you want to be in ten years?
Hopefully still modeling but I want to have my own brand and hopefully doing a lot of philanthropy. A family hopefully in New York or London, maybe be married by then. Definitely Timothée and I will have a few fights about where to get a small summer house, France or the Netherlands. I don't really like planning my future but I just know I want to be fairly settled down and not be as busy and stressed as I am now.
