The sun shines on my face in the bright, early morning. Beep! Beep! Beep! I groan as my alarm clock blares loudly into my ears. Ugh! I'm so not a morning person.

I slam my hand down on my alarm clock to stop the annoying noise. It stops. I lay in bed for another five minutes until my mom knocks on my door. "Zoey! You have to get going!!"

She doesn't say more and I hear her walk away. My mom is so annoying. I hate her. I look at my clock and almost have a heart attack.

"Oh my gosh! It's almost seven fucking thirty!" I shout at the top of my lungs. School starts at seven-thirty-one!

I quickly get up and brush my beautiful, blonde locks. My makeup, aka eyeliner and mascara because I'm not a whore, is done within seconds and is flawless but not too flawless because I'm unique.

I throw on a band tee and ripped jeans quickly. My black socks and ratty Converses are on my feet in seconds. I brush my teeth but I don't put on deodorant or perfume because that's what skanks wear. I'd rather stank than be a skank!

I rush downstairs and I'm out the door. "Bye, honey, have a good day at school!" My mom shouts.

"Fuck off, bitch!" I shout back. She smiles and waves me goodbye. Thot.

I climb into my old Model T and start heading to school. I speed and eventually get there.

Just as the 7:31 bell rings, I'm out of my car, into the school, and seated in my desk.

The teacher, Mrs. Robinson, glares at me. "You were almost late," she warns.

I stick my tongue out at her obnoxiously because I'm badass. She rolls her eyes and turns to the whiteboard.

As I'm writing the assignment down, I hear the desk next to me move slightly. When I look up, I'm face-to-face with the school's jackass. Yup, that's right! I'm staring into the eyes of Ace.

No one in the schools other than the teachers know what Ace stands for. Some say his full name is 'Asexual'. I'm curious but I have no idea.

I blush a deep red as he smiles at me. "Hey, um, Zuri?" He asks.

"Actually, it's Zoey, asshole," I bite back. I'm fucking stupid, why did I do that?

He doesn't get mad. Actually, he smirks. "Well, Zoey, I need help with my English project. And, well, since we're in the same English class, why don't we pair up?"

I'm probably as red as a tomato as I nod 'yes'. "Oh, sure, Ace!" I bite my lip to keep from smiling. He grabs my notebook and writes his number on it.

"Text me, girl."

He saunters off and out of the classroom even though class doesn't end for another hour. The teacher gives no shits.

I can't believe I'm going to be working on a project with the school's bad boy!
