Leaving Home

Im Jasmine Holt. IM 17 years old and lm currently living life without a father. he left our family when i was 3 years old, and im on a mission to find him and learn why he left.

I wake up early on Monday morning with my alarm blaring. Today's the day. the day i set out to find my father. I pull on a pair of cargo pants and a army short sleeve shirt. I walk down stairs and pack my bag. I made sure i would wake up before my mom and sister did so she wouldn't stop me from going. I grab canned foods like beans and soup and some small boxes of cereal, i also grab some water bottles and all the basic necessities ill need for my trip. I then grab a pen and a piece of paper and begin to write my note for my mom and little sister.

Dear mom and Lucy:

I'm so sorry to leave like this but I have to know, I have to know who my father is. Mom you never told me anything about him other then his name and that he 's from Texas. I'm 17 and I need to know. so please don't worry I'm fine. Tell Lucy I love her and that I've just gone to summer camp. I love you and now I'm leaving home. by the time you read ill be long gone.
