Chapter One

Rosie’s POV

I woke with a start. ‘Here we go again’ I thought as I got up from my warm bed. I walked to my bathroom and looked in my full length mirror. I was really short, like 4’1, but then again I’m only eleven. My straight, shoulder length hair was black with natural brown highlights and I had a right side bang. My skin was a pasty white. I had pouty lips and kaleidoscope eyes. I brushed my teeth and hopped into the shower. After my shower I got dressed in my blue long sleeve top and white skinny jeans. I put on my blue sandals and my blue headband that had a poinsettia on the right side.

I grabbed my book bag and walked downstairs to the kitchen. I was using the money that my parents left me to rent a house while I was here in Blue Bay. The money was also being used for groceries and other things. I lived by myself in the house, so it gets lonely. I have a key and so does Cam, for safety reasons. I made a bagel and sat on the couch. I turned on the TV and put on Disney Channel. I am an eleven year old girl, so I need entertainment. I finished my breakfast and decided to visit Cam.

I ninja streaked to Ninja Ops and went through the waterfall. Cam and I designed the entire chamber and were the only ones that knew its location, other than Sensei Wannabe.

“Cam?” I called out, walking into the main frame. Two strong arms wrapped around my small waist and spun me around. I squealed in surprise and heard Cam chuckle, he and his dad already knew my story when I came to Blue Bay and Cam was like a brother to me. “Cam put me down!” I told him; the bad part about being short was that when someone picked me up it was a long drop down.

“No can do Rosie” Cam said and he placed me on his hip. I hated being so small sometimes.  We, well Cam, walked towards Sensei Wannabe and Cam dropped me. “Dad, why do you need us?” Cam asked him.

“You both shall accompany me to practice.” Sensei said and walked up the stairs. Cam and I followed him to the academy and saw him talking to Shane, Tori, and Dustin.

“Did you get the parts?” I asked Cam. We were working on a huge project.

“Yup” Cam said. We walked over to Sensei Wannabe as he finished scolding the three ninjas. “I don’t know why you put up with them.”

“Cam!” I scolded. Sensei Wannabe smiled.

“Well, then, Cameron, I suppose that’s why I’m the sensei, and you’re the sensei’s son.” Sensei said. I laughed and Cam glared at me. There was a distant rumbling and I looked at Sensei.

“What’s wrong? Sensei?” I asked.

“Nothing, you two should start working.” Sensei told us. I looked at Cam and we went down to Ops.

The next day

Cam and I were putting on our final installments when there was a loud explosion at the academy. “Cam?!” I asked, worriedly.

“Let’s go.” Cam said and grabbed my hand. We walked out to see aliens fighting the ninjas. “Hold on” Cam told me and I looked around. Above us rocks were falling.

“Cam!” I yelled and created a force field around us just as the rocks fell on top of us. Creating the force field was the only power I had been able to keep after becoming a temporary silver ranger. A huge rock came crashing down and I dropped the shield falling on top of Cam’s chest.

“Ro” Cam made out, but the rocks were still piling on us. Cam tried moving but nothing was working. I heard voices come near and hoped they would find us.
