study date after school??
"How many hearts do you need to have by his name?" Minhyun commented from next to me, peering over my shoulder at my messages. I clicked off the screen, swinging my elbow back to hit him in the ribs. Minhyun let out a pained yelp, cradling the spot I had hit him.
"Stop looking at my messages," I scolded, crossing my arms like a disapproving mother. Minhyun straightened out once again, rolling his eyes at me.
"You literally take my phone and text girls for me." Minhyun stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans, starting to walk past me and to our next class. I pressed my lips into a line, falling into step with him.
"So? It's not like you remember half of their names anyway," I retorted, a whining tone starting to shine through my speech. Minhyun let out a mix of a laugh and a scoff, throwing a look of betrayal my way. I stared back at him, waiting for a response that I knew Minhyun wouldn't be a able to come up with. Minhyun was a player, having talked to sixteen different girls this year and it was only a few weeks into autumn.
"I can remember their names!" He defended weakly, a lack of interest displayed across his features. He was full of shit and he knew it.
"Okay, name one that isn't Soojin," I retorted, a smirk tugging at the corners of my lips when he went silent. He instead made himself busy on his phone, that I was sure was blowing up with messages like it usually was. Minhyun refused to admit it, but he was probably the most popular person in the school, right next to Hwang Hyunjin, who I didn't know but knew of. It sometimes surprised me that Minhyun actually liked hanging out with me and the others, since we were all painfully average compared to other people he kinda knew.
"Donghyuck wants to know if you're gonna be busy after school?" Minhyun informed me, not sparing a glace at me from his phone. I cocked my head slightly, face scrunching in confusion.
"Why can't he text me himself?" I questioned, annoyance quickly rising in my tone. Minhyun glanced up at me, eyebrows furrowing, his lips parted silently. "And yes, clearly I'm going to be busy."
"Yeah, 'study date' I know." Minhyun lazily used air quotes as he spoke, a high pitched and kind of nasaly voice came from him as well, taunting me. I glared at him, deciding to drop it because I remember I had forgotten to text Jaemin back. I whipped out my phone so fast that I thought it was going to go flying, opening Jaemin's chat in a matter of seconds.

I felt a grin immediately tug it's way across my features, my heartbeat starting to quicken while a giddy feeling started to swell up behind my ribcage. My fingers hovered over the keyboard for what felt like forever, trying to find something to say back to him, which proved to be a lot harder than what I was expecting. This left me to tug my lower lip between my teeth, deciding to just leave the conversation there, since I would rather be silent than embarrassed.
Minhyun remained silent on his end, tapping away at his phone screen, responding to the plethora of messages he had received, leaving me to chew on my lips and walk silently beside him.
"Donghyuck says to ditch Jaemin," Minhyun told me, finally looking up from his phone to actually look at me. A look of confusion painting it's way across my features. "He wants to hang out with us."
