Prolog: This is why vampires and likens don't get along.

You know before, everyone had gotten along, before if you had a liken for a friend you were deemed lucky.

When I was to turned 6, my mother and father said that they would take me anywhere I wanted. So on my 6th birthday I wanted to go to see the likens. I had never saw one before, I always wanted to have a liken friend. So we left to go there. After mother set up a play date, of course.

It was on this trip that our people began their long intertwining hatred for the likens.

"Mom where are the likens?" I asked, once we were at the vampire boarder.

She answered to me softly, "I don't know, I set up a play date with some of the nobles' kids." Yes nobles, I am the last princess in the royal line. So if there was something I desired I would get it.

It was getting dark out when the underbrush moved, three likens jumped and my parents bowed. They didn't, they just stalked closer. I to moved behind my mother's legs. "Well look who we have here, the last princess. Will you tell us your name dear?" One of them had asked as they all grinned.

"Her name is Yuuki and I advise that you treat her with respect. Where are the kids?" My Mom asked. They looked at one another and pointed at me.

"Why the kid is right there, and that is if you to don't mind we'll take her to the other kids." One of them spoke.

"Would you like that Yuuki?" Mom asked and I shook my head. She pulls me to the likens anyway you said that you wanted to play mom and dad leave after handing me over and say we'll see you later.

The tall liken picked me up in his arms. I was a bit scared. "Have you ever met a liken before?" He asked.

I look up shaking my head he was cute wait I'm to young to think of this things. "Where are the other kids? I inquired.

He replied with a grin. "Kids? What kids. we were told to obliterate you my dear."

I get out of his grip with an effort and ran as I heard what they said I ran faster. "Boys the chase is on."

I yelled, "Mommy, daddy, someone help!"

No one but them heard. they laughed I hid in a bush they didn't see this they stopped angrily one said, "Spread out she can't of gone far."

The others left leaving the tall one behind who said, "We know your here it's useless to hid come out now and we won't hurt you."

He sounded sincere I cry I heard him sniff the air so you were hiding right in front of me he grabs me by my neck leave me alone I cry.

"No I don't think so dear. My you're a pretty child, I wish I could keep you to myself but I can't." He sighs he puts his other hand on my waist moves the hand around my neck to the side his liken teeth come out and he bites me in the neck.

My entire body pulsed with pain it hurt so much I couldn't move I then screamed like I never did it was so loud he dropped me to cover his ears I then stared to convulse then I could move my arms and started to rip up my neck where I was bitten.

His blood was mixing with mine mom and dad came with some others the man who bit me was gone the other to were taken but not without a price I watched as my Mom was killed before my eyes along with others my dad was the first to find me.

I was still shaking. "Medic she needs a medic!" Was all heard before I went into a sleeping state. My eyes opened wait someone said she's awake I saw dad.

Mom I asked he said no I went back to sleep.

Four years later

"Yuuki, Yuuki please wake up please wake up!" Dad cried I couldn't move or anything

"Sir I don't think she will ever wake up it's been a year we still can't get the liken blood out of her."

"Well try harder! I just know she'll wake up soon." He started to cry I could feel him lay his head by my body.

I felt my body I open my eyes and move my hand to touch his head. "Dad what's wrong?" My voice was so soft and horse.

He looks up to see my smile he then stands up and hugs me. "I knew you would wake up!"

My body started to expand I bent myself over putting pressure on my chest my ribs started to feel like they broke and moved expanding I screamed then lots of vampires came in wondering what was happening to see I was awake.

"What's happening to her?!" dad yelled

"She's not suppose to be awake yet the liken blood is not gone." Yet my bones stop and I go back to sleep this happened many times in the following weeks.

When I woke up no one was there I saw I was dripping a purple blood liken blood I stand and get out of bed my vision spun I had to vomit I rip out the iv and run to the bathroom stumbling along the way, then vomit in the sink

I run the water and look up in to the mirror what I saw was not me it couldn't be me yet it was I looked different older and everything then Dad came in.

"You changed a lot sense you had last saw yourself. You will soon turn ten my child." He then hugged me I felt a little better.

"Dad what's that smell?"

It Was nice and spicy at the same time I go to the smell it started to get stronger it led me to the dungeons dad grabbed me when I saw it was a liken he told me of the war that started Between the races.
