Chapter 10

"That was a bit cliché."

It's been a few weeks since we officially met James and Kayleigh.

Mum, Kaiden and I have stayed at our dads for a while but that was only so we could get to know him more. I found out he had a brother named Tim and that Tim was adopted. My grandparents, Ronnie and Cabe has 3 kids. James, Angela and Tim. When James was 4, my grandparents visited the orphanage and adopted Tim and now I have 2 uncles,1 auntie and 1 biological dad.

Lately Liam and I have got a little close. Unfortunately, he's been caught up with work so I haven't seen him for the past few days. Noah and Bailey are talking. They don't know if they want to date but they're willing to try something out.

I was watching Step Sisters with Kayleigh and Kaiden when the doorbell rang

"I'll get it!" I hurriedly stood up and swung the door open.

"Hey gorgeous." Liam looked hot in his tight fitted navy suit and with his brown hair gelled back without a strand out of place. A Rolex was strapped to his wrist, and it shimmered in the sunlight. He looked fucking edible.

That was a bit cliché wasn't it?

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I rushed that sentence out. I was eye fucking him and it left me breathless.

A smile appeared onto his face and his eyes light up slightly but there was something dark in them. He was worried about something unknown to me

"Can't I come and see my girl?" Liam pushes me out of the way slightly and walks into the living room.

Instead of following him I go to the kitchen and grab a bottle of water from the fridge.

I was stood at the doorway of the living room but I stopped once I heard something.

"You know you and I would be a great couple, we'd last for a long time too. You can't deny it." Kayleigh winked flirtatiously. I didn't get it though because she wasn't single.

I would kill Liam and Kayleigh.

"No, thank you. I have an amazing woman. She lights up my world and there's nothing I'd do to change that, " he flashed her his billion dollar grin. "sure, she gives me shit most of the time but without my baby giving me shit then I wouldn't be me. I never want us to assume anything with her because that makes an ass out of you and me. Mostly me. I don't even know why I said that. But she's mine and I'm hers." By the end of this I started tearing up.

I remember why I loved dating Liam. He was never afraid to be cheesy, and he loved showing me off because he was proud that I was his and no one else's

"Aww Liam, that was sweet" Kayleigh smiled, but it didn't reach her eyes.

I stepped into the living room which made all eyes turn to me.

A blush creeped up Liam's neck but he still looked me in my eyes and gave me a heart-warming smile while the others just smiled.

I walked up to Liam and gave him a hug.

"I've got the best girl and her name is Kehlani." Liam finished his rant with this and planted a kiss on my forehead.

Kaiden shot me a look which said that we'd talk about this later and Kayleigh just gave a fake smile.

I don't think it's fair how siblings think its okay being overprotective but then don't like it when your overprotective with them.

Like you don't see me telling Kaiden to be careful with Happy, the waitress we saw at the diner we were at with Grace. I finally got them two together. Anyway, I'm never like that with Kaiden because I know that he can take care of himself.

I grab Liam's hand and take him upstairs to my room.

"Nice room."

I don't see why he said it was nice when it was plain as fuck.

"Why are you here?" I led him to my bed, and we sat down.

"I didn't tell you everything that happens with Heather and it's been eating at me so I will tell you."
