I sat down because Master wanted to talk to us and didn't want me to leave.
"We are joining the grand magic games." He finally announced.
"Our team will be Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Grey, Wendy. As a substitute will be-"
He looked around and looked right at me. He pointed at me.
"Come here."
I got up walked up to Gramps with my hands in my pockets.
"What's your name?"
I sigh in boredness. This old geezer doesn't remember me?
"I see age has gotten the best of you Gramps. I'm Ray Wayfire."
"Your the little boy that used to cause me go insane?"
"Old man, you were insane long before me."
"So what magic do you use?"
"Well let's see." I say leaning back against my sword I requiped.
"I use requip, magic circles, ice make, ice dragon slayer, fire dragon slayer, celestial dragon slayer, lightning god slayer, shadow god slayer, transformation, bending, light, normal celestial, healing, communication, elemental demon slayer, and blood magic, plus I am half dragon and I have mastered all of my magic. I'm the number one wizard saint."
Everyone who was on Tenro Island was in shock. Master pointed at me.
"You. You will be the substitution."
"Well I was about to say that with the people you have on the team, we are definitely going to lose, but if one of them is hurt then I guess we will at least have a chance."
"And what do you suppose that's supposed to mean?"
"Everyone you knew before is 10 times stronger. Take Ray for example. Without him our guild would most likely be banned right now. No affense, but Ray was the weakest person in Fairytail. He became the strongest man alive. We also had found out his backstory with that man Jellal."
"I said that was private."
Erza looked at me with worry. The whole guild was at an awkward silence.
"Let's go train. We have 3 months before the games."
Team A ran out. Erza stopped and realized I wasn't following. She walked back to me, grabbed my collar and dragged me away.
"H-Hey! Erza let go!"
"You are coming with us. I will not have you grow up more with out us. Plus I need some answers."
I gave in, knowing she wasn't going to let go. Macco was laughing so hard at me. I chucked a dagger close to his head and he immediately stopped. When we got outside we caught up with the rest of the team. They all watched me carefully. I crossed my arms and stood still.
"What do you want that requires you all to stare at me?"
"You've changed." Grey pointed out.
"You grew up on us, Ray." Erza stated.
"Was what they said about your backstory true? Do you really have a backstory with Jellal?" Lucy asked.
"It's true. Jellal had raised me up until I was 10."
"I found you almost dead on the beach when you were 10?"
"Yes, you did. He tossed me off the Tower personally. The hole by the doors of the guild was from me putting his head through the wall."
"Hold up he raised you? Does that mean he had taught you magic, too?"
I looked at the ground not wanting to answer. I felt Erza embrace me.
'Erza only if you knew how bad I missed you. How bad I wished I wouldn't have let you go. I wish we could go back to the way things were. I can't let you in anymore afraid that if I do I might lose you again.'
I couldn't bring myself to hug her back I suddenly felt the presence of Virgo behind me.
"Good evening, Virgo." I said calmly.
"Good evening, Ray-kun."
"Wait you to are on a first name basis? She still calls me princess."
"We are on a first name basis because I have the 12 zodiac sibling keys, there are 18 of them and I have all of them. Did you know Loe's little brother is 10 times stronger than him?"
"Wait siblings? Virgo I didn't know you guys had siblings."
"Yeah their keys are diamond."
"Yes princess we do have siblings and we are having a welcome back party for you guys in the celestial kingdom."
"Alright, we will go. Did you at least bring some clothes for us to change into?"
"Sorry, I forgot."
"No problem at all, Virgo. Open the gate of the sister maiden, Demire."
I raised her key.
"Tehee, good evening Senpai. I brought the clothes."
I sighed as she called me senpai.
"Jeez and I thought my spirits were bad with that."
"Senpai is there anything else I can do for you."
"Can you not call me senpai?"
"Ahh, but senpai is a perfect name for you."
Demire had hugged me.
"Virgo, please help your sister is suficating me."
Unlike Virgo, Demire had blue hair that was in pigtails and mainly wore a crop top and a short skirt.
"Demire get off of him like that."
"I don't want to. His skin is so soft."
"Gate force closed."
I finally relaxed when Demire had left.
"Here change into these so we can go."
"I would hate to see how the others are."
"Well Logan, Loe's little brother is a ladies man also. Loe taught that kid alot about women. Although Logan perfected Loe's ways."
We left soon after. The party was actually quite fun.

I knew already knew when the party ended it had been 3 months. I had challenged Logan to a fight and was training for speed. I had gotten fast with my attacks and dodges. Logan was an equal to me, so he was a fair opponent. I trained the whole party with Logan.
"Hey Ray its time to leave."
"One second."
I stood still waiting for Logan to attack. He ran at me with his full power. In one quick motion Logan was in the air and slammed into the ground.
"Dam, you Ray. One day we will fight and I will win."
"I could see it if maybe you ask your brother to show you something besides how to get chicks."
"Hey I don't teach him that!"
"Don't lie, Loki. You teach him how to pick up chicks."
"Sure I would teach him that, but not always. Plus if anyone needs help trying to get a girl would be you, Mr. Girls swoon over me but I don't have time for a relationship."
"Shut it Loki."
I walked to the group and we all went back. We were walking back to the guild when I ran into a frozen Erza.
"I see you guys are back. I'm sorry for the hell I put you through before."
I looked past Erza to see the trio of bad.
"We seriously stopped because of them?" I said sarcastically.
I pushed past Erza and the trio. Jellal grabbed my arm stopping me in my tracks.
"My offer still stands, Ray."
"Like Hell. I would never abandon my family unless I know they are safe. I've said it before and I won't say it again."
"I'm trying to lead you away from the dark path that your following. Eventually you could end up like I was."
"Fuck it."
"You may say that now, but the path would be harder for you to escape from. In the end you will lose them forever. You will lose her forever."
"I'm sure of that. Rather keep her away than try to fix things for that reason. You act like I don't know where it leads. Just remember that you where the push that drove me over the edge."
I yanked my arm out of his grasp, and walked off.
Erza's POV
I heard Jellal and Ray's chit chat, and felt the tug on my heart after watch Ray walk away. He said that he didn't care about the path he was taking. He's putting us before himself. I suddenly realized that was always what he did. He doesn't show mercy towards anyone who did wrong to his family. I see it now the hurt, the sorrow. He needed us. Those seven years, how long has this been? How long have you not been completely honest?
"Erza."
I was snapped out of my thoughts.
"If he chooses to leave your guild after the games don't ask questions. It will just mean that he knows that you all will be safe without him. Safe from him. I can't get into that brain of his to know exactly what he thinks, but I know this, he has scars and tries not to let them show. He sees every pain he causes by his decisions. He knows that once he goes to far he won't be able to turn back. He sees no purpose to his life anymore. I remember his childish eyes the day I found him in tower. They are the same eyes I remember from when Simon and Milianna had decide the tower would become a water park and everyone was drenched from head to toe, or when he decided to dress up in one of Milly's cat suits, but also in those same eyes are strength, courage, leadership, and a dark future. I've seen eyes almost like his in someone else and in myself."
"I could help him."
"He doesn't want help. He shut everyone out. This is my fault. I literally pushed him over the edge."
"No this is not anyone's fault."
"You haven't seen the scars yet have you?"
"What scars?"
"Erza, your so oblivious to what is happening to that boy?"
"What is it that I'm so oblivious to?"
"I suggest paying closer attention to how he acts around you and the compare with how he acts with every other girl."
"Why?"
"Let's just say he lost the one he loved most once and do everything to keep her heart from breaking again."
