"E-Eh! I'm gonna be late!" I say, sprinting as fast as I could. My boots make a soft squishy sound, as I round a corner and my academy comes into view.
The calm spring breeze blew against my face as I picked up speed, hoping I didn't miss class.
I check the big clock hovering above the gates, and see I have five minutes to spare.
I let out a sigh of relief, and slow my pace.
Out of breath, I pushed open the big doors, and saw many teens still cluttered in the halls.
I let the door close, and comb my hair a bit with my fingers.
"Yamasaki!" Aimi called, grabbing my arm.
"Ai!" I say, and smiled.
"Guess what?" she asked, and grinned.
I returned the grin, and got excited. "What?!"
"Haru asked me to the festival!" she exclaimed, and jumped up and down.
The bell rang before I could say anything, and we hurried to class.
The academy was huge, but it was my third year here, so I knew my way around. The teachers were strict, but usually the teachers had something to do and left us with a paper to read.
"Well, good for you." I said, and entered the classroom.
I sat in the desk next to Ai, and kept my head down. I hated getting called on, or interacting with anyone in class.
"Ahem! Class!" the sensei calls, and stands tall. "This is out new student, Sakata Okami. Please welcome him, and uh, I'll be right back." sensei says, and rushes out of the room.
The new guy, looks around, and the boys in the back tell him to join them.
As he walks past me, he grabs a bit of my hair, and yanks it. Not too hard.
I put my head down, and hear him whisper 'baka'.
I shake my head, and turn to Ai.
I see she's shamelessly flirting with Haru, and I stick my tongue out, and turn back around, facing the front if the class.
Suddenly, new guy pops into view.
"Hey." he says, and pulls a desk in front of me. "I'm Sakata Okami." he says, and I look down at the desk.
"Namiku Yamasaki." I say quietly.
"Ok. You have to show me around." He says, and yanks me out of my seat, dragging me out if the class.
"Eek! What if sensei comes back?" I ask, pulling my hand away from him.
"He won't. Now where's the bathrooms?" he asks, and looks down at me.
I sigh, and point.
"Go up the hall, take a left, and there you go." I say, and head towards the classroom.
He grabs my arm, and scoffs.
"That's just the bathroom, I need to know everything." he says, glaring at me.
"No, I don't. Now go away baka." I say, and free my hand, opening the classroom.
