I was locked in our dorm room, unable to move, eat, sleep, or do anything. I was lying on my bed, listening to sad songs. For the past week I have had writer's block. I was still writing fanfiction for Simon Snow, but I started writing it for more books. The current chapter I was working on happened to be for Perri Hart: The Thunder Strike by Danielle Talisman and was one of the most utterly popular series in the YA crowd at the moment.

I was currently stuck at a part where I wanted to stage something huge, something that would blow everyone's mind. Take them by complete surprise. Wren suggested writing something heartbreakingly sad. The thing is, I have rare experiences being completely, heartbreakingly sad. I don't know what could be a bigger downer than the fact that you're a teenage girl who's father is Zeus and you haven't seen him in years, and even then, you didn't even know it was him.

Just as I started thinking about a coma, I heard a knock at the door. I hit pause on my iPod and trudged to the door, opening it. The face I saw immediately brightened my mood.

"God, Levi, I'm supposed to be sad right now, how am I supposed to do that with you showing up at my doorstep with coffee and that cute little smile on your face?" I questioned, only half serious.

He rolled his eyes, "You're still on that Perri Hart chapter? You've been spending so much time on it that your Simon Snow fans are feeling neglected." He handed me my coffee and took his usual spot on my bed. His beautiful blonde hair was perfect as always, and he was dressed in a plaid shirt with jeans. "What?" he asked when I looked him up and down with a look of dissaproval.

"You're not supposed to look better than me, it lowers my self esteem," I said, looking down at my oh-so-large sweater from my high school and black leggings. Not to mention the mis-matched socks and the crazy, untamable hair.

"You look perfect, as always," he replied with another eye roll, "Now tell me about this chapter you're working on," he scooted to the side a little and patted the spot next to him, coaxing me onto the bed.

"Well, I need to write something sad. I want to really catch everyone by surprise, but with what? A disease, a death, a breakup?" I rambled on.

He perked up, "That's it, a breakup!"

I laughed, "And how am I supposed to write that? I have no experience, maybe Wren and Reagan can help."

"No, no, no. You have to do this right. You have to experience something to really be able to write about it, right?" he said.

Realization dawned on me, "Wait, is this some excuse to break up with me?" This was not what I was expecting.

Now it was his turn to laugh, "No, I mean we should break up for a week. It won't be real, just an experiment. Then you can write for your chapter and have Perri and Arson break up, the right way."

I gave him a pure look of astonishment, "Levi, you're crazy! A whole week?! Okay, first of all, you're gonna need me to read to you your assignment this week, and I'm not gonna let you fail this one, considering you got a C on the last one. And second, I can't go two weeks without updating the story."

"Then finish it off with a cliffhanger, and wow, you're totally forgetting the fact that I cannot live a day without a kiss from you. They make me feel Ma-" I cut him off.

"I swear if you say it I will kill you," I tried to give him my best death glare, but it didn't work.

"MagiCathical!" He finished, leaning back on the bed with a laugh, almost spilling his already half-drunken coffee.

I rolled my eyes and blushed, lightly punching him in the gut. "You know, it's not a bad idea, but we still haven't established your book assignment, what do you need to read, The Spectacular Now?" I asked.

"Yeah but I can get it on audio-book," he had a mischievous look in his eye.

"Oh my god, if you watch the movie I will literally not talk to you for the next month," I said.

"Is that a challenge?" He pushed, wanting me to break.

"Ha-Ha, that's not gonna work. But I guess I'll take you up on that 1 week offer, I could really use a break from seeing all that plaid, it's starting to make my vision go crazy," I joked.

"You're on," he said with a smirk and held out his hand. I took it and sealed the unofficial bet that I would probably regret by tomorrow morning...this is going to be a long week.
