Dear Diary,
I gave up my whole social status for these four socially awkward kids from Australia.
Sometimes I regret it, most times I don't. It may be the last day of grade eight, and almost a full year since I met them. But I feel so close to them.
If I didn't talk so much, I wouldn't be where I am right now. But, I'm thankful I talk a lot.
Maybe in the future I'll regret it, but for now I don't. Maybe having these four tall socially awkward foreign kids as my friends will pay off.
For now I have no idea.

I closed the book after reading it and tossed it to the side.
"You actually doubted being friends with me? Thought it wouldn't pay off? Look at us now babe." He trailed off, looking around us.
I really don't regret it one bit.
