Ever sonce that day we hit it off as friends. I eventually got her number and name. Her name was Lindsey. We saw eachother again at a nearby cafe. Now we're close. We always hang out with eachother. Some people even thought we were together. On December 30th 2017. We all were getting ready for the new year.  Everyone was excited. Lindsey was hosting a party for new years eve. That was the plan until we got the texts. She said she couldn't host the party tonight and promised to do one on new years. Keep in mind we didn't see her for almost a week. She barely asnwered our calls and texts. At this point we we're confused. By we I'm mean out whole friend group. I was texting my friend, Lily and she was cknfused as well. She was close to Lindsey too, and hardly talked to her for the past week. Then another day pasted and another, and another. What was going on. This was unlike her. The finally late at night I heard a knock on my front door. I was curious to see who wanted me 11:00 at night. Open the door to see Lindsey, shaking from the cold, with snow frosting part of her face. "Lindsey what the hell!? Where were you!" I said in shocked to her. "Let me explain." She says. "And come inside too. You're cold." She walks in and I close the door behind her. She takes off her winter coat and gloves. I grab a warm blanket and wrapped her in it. She looks at me with her bright blue eyes. She looks like she was scared of something. "Are you okay?" I asked her. She exhales nervously, she was shaking and she had fear in her eyes. "What's wrong?" I ask her. "I'm dying Christian...I have cancer...stage 3." Tears raced down her face, she tries to open her mouth to speak, but she couldn't say a word. You could tell she was scared for her life. "L-Lindsey?" I was shocked, who wouldn't be. She sick and that's where she has been. I hugged her tight, like if she were to dissapear now in a gust of wind. "It's ok, I know life is very hard for you now but I'm here and I'll stay by your side. I promise." Lindsey balls her eyes out in my shoulder. Hearing this makes me want to go insane. I know its stage 3, hopefully she can survive but, I just want to go insane hearing this...what if she does dies...No I can't think of that. Never...I can't lose her. She's the one friend I can ever call family, the best thing that's ever happened to me, i would go crazy if she...I sigh in the thought of that dark moment. "It's ok Lindsey I  got you." She looks into my eyes with tears still in her syes and streaming down her rosy cheeks. "What am I gonna do? I'm scared, what if I-" "Dont you even say Lindsey, you gotta stay strong. You can't say that." I tell her. "But what if...what if it does happen." She said wiping her tears away. "Just stay strong! Your Lindsey, the same badass Lindsey that I've always have knew since we've met." She chuckles at my comment. "Look you can do this. I believe in you." She smiles and embraces me before she leaves to go home. "Thanks, I don't know who I would be without you." She walks out the door and dissapears in the snowy wind....Like ghost.
