The next day, she was awoken bye a knock.
"Who is there?" she called out, running to wash her face. Grabbing a mint leaf, she put it in her mouth.
"It is I, Fred."
"Freddie?" she squealed. She leaped to the door; her long black hair down, and her night gown transparent and past her knees. She opened the door with a wide smile.
"Odette!" he cried.
"Freddie!" she called and she jumped into his arms covering him with kisses. "You are alright!" she exclaimed.
"Yes, very much so." he replied. "Oh, Odette, how I missed you, and your angelic flame."
"We are infected with love!" Odette laughed.
"Oh, yes I hear it's very contagious. But, I don't care. I don't care about anything anymore!" he yelled to the mountain. "I only care about you." he said, stroking her face.
"And, I, you." Odette replied gently.
Fred then became very nervous. "I- I came to tell you that the tiara was found. It was sent to the palace. I apologize for my rudeness and the inconvenience..." Fred kept blabbing so Odete dove in and silenced him with a kiss.
"Did you hear anything I said?" he asked between kisses.
Odette breathed. "No, but I'm sure it was very interesting." she replied smiling into the kiss. Fred stopped kissing her and let out a hearty laugh.
"You are a very clever vixen, maiden."
"I am very foxy." she winked. "Oh, how rude of me. Let me show you the cottage."
"Does that involve your room?"
"I suppose. But, just to let you know, I only give free things away to the unfortunate. Not strangers."
"Oh, I am going to be the most unfortunate man if you do not give me your love!" he went down on one knee and outstretched his arm. "I pledge my love to you!" he said in a mock serious voice.
Odette laughed at the boy. "Well, I guess I'll have to get to know you better, Stranger." she winked and went inside followed behind by the lost puppy named Fred.
After a romantic meeting of kisses on the bed, they had lunch that involved melted cheese on crackers.
"This is the best cheese and milk I have ever tasted!" Fred said allowed.
"It's goat milk and an old family recipe." Odette replied.

"There is a place I have to show you. My secret place." Odette whispered in his ear.
"Where?"
"Follow me!" And, with that she ran out the door and ran for the mountains. He ran after her but after a while he lost her. "Odette? Odette!" he called.
"Yode-lei-heee! Yodoloho-LEi-HEE!" He was startled to hear a clear yodel coming from a few feet ahead. He heard it again and then saw Odette come out of the brush like a dewy-eyed fawn.
"Come on, let us go." Odette said, grabbing Fred's hand and pulling him along.
When they reached the lake, Fred's jaw dropped. His eyes scanned the glass lake, jagged cliffs, the royal Alps in frost, the rich evergreens and fairy dusted lilacs. The scene was mirrored in the lake. A flock of Siberian Cranes disturbed the water, their long legs caressing the lake.
"It's heavenly, isn't it." Odette stated.
"I- I am breathless." he breathed. "This must be heaven."
"Do you want to swim?"
"Now?"
"Yes." Odette said determinedly, cheeks rosy.
"Let us do it." he replied grinning.
They both went behind different trees respectively.
"AAaaaaaaIIIEEE!" Odette turned as Fred ran into the water and dived into the deep, disturbing the water.
When he was under, Odette went in. Fred resurfaced, grinning like a child. "This is great."
Odette grinned back. "See that edge on that cliff?" Odette asked as she pointed. He nodded. "Usually, I climb up there and jump off.
Fred looked horrified and Odette broke the dam and let out a gush of laughter that had been held back for a while. "It is the most amazing feeling in this world."
"That's dangerous, Odette. I am glad that it makes you happy, but you could get injured. A woman should not attempt it, your fragility."
Odette's smile died. Silently and determinedly, Odette ran from the lake, displaying her slender body, shining from the water. Fred watched as she stared at him, daring. A drop of water caressed her cheek as it slid down her long swan-like neck unto her chest to the tip of her breast before it ran round and down her toned abdomen. Odette walked to the rocks and started to climb. Fred watched as her calves flexed with unveiled muscles.
"Wait!" Fred called out.
"Fred, I love you, but you cannot stop me." she said climbing higher.
"No, I cannot stop an determined, unwilling woman, so," he took a breath. "let us do this together." Odette smiled in agreement. When they were at the edge, they took a few steps back, ran, and then jumped...
They were, for a moment, defying gravity. They soared forward, fast and furious. In slow motion, they curved downward in slow motion. Then, the couple dropped like bullets shot upward, gaining speed and momentum. They cut through the lake like a guillotine through the flesh. Their naked bodies torpedoed to the bottom of the lake to the silver sand and green garlands.
A possessed vine shot out like a viper and wrapped around Odete's Achilles tendon like a python. Fred, grabbed her, and he fought with the snake-like vine, dancing a duet in the swirling silver water. Defeating the plant, and freeing her, he swam upward to catch a breath.
They met above, where they could touch, and swam to each other locked in an embrace.
"You- you saved me." Odette stuttered.
"You doubted me? Odette, I will always save you."
Odette smiled, a tear of relief leaving her deep blue eyes. She hugged him. "And, you will always have my heart." With that she brought his face to hers and left a spell-binding kiss.
A ripple of light emanated from within them which expanded into a beautiful, colored, aura. The two both shivered. They got dressed and parted, going their separate ways, but before they did so, Fred asked if they would ever see each other again, because the kiss had felt like a closing.
"Of course. I am never letting you go." Odette said. She started walking down the trail.
"Odette!" Fred called out. Odette whirled around and raised an eyebrow questioningly. He ran to her.
"I love you too. Till we meet again, my love." he raised her long slender hand to his and kissed it.
They would meet again, but under heart breaking circumstances.
