Chapter 3: a smile

Laken's POV

"his eyes are just... ugh" I whispered to skylar. Even though I have blues eyes his were just I don't even know how to explain "I know" she whispered back

"This is hayes grier he just moved here from charrolette North Carolina" mrs. Howard says. Thats only a couple towns away from us I thought to myself

"hmmm... why don't you go sit in front of laken" she pointed to me I literally died inside

he looked at where she was pointing and saw the desk in front of me I sit in the back row he walked over, and mrs. Howard went to her desk to do some stuff she usually gave us sometime before we had to start

Before he sat down he looked at me and smiled I smiled back "I like your hoodie" he laughed "thanks I like yours too" I laughed I had noticed he had a Florida gators one on. "oh you like the gators?" He asked while smiling. "Yeah, my dad actually is a coach for them" I smiled "oh my god my brother plays on the team" he said with an amazed look in his eyes oh my god he's so cute I said to myself. "grier?" I asked him trying to see if I could remember the name "yeah" he responded "oh Will right? I think I might have met him" I said sweetly "yeah, I'll have to ask him about it. What's your name again?" He asked "Laken Wilson" I smiled "that's a pretty name" he smiled back "thanks" I giggled oh my god I must sound s dumb

I turned to skylar who was on her phone "OMF HE IS SO FUCKING CUTE" I screamed but still whispering so he couldn't hear "UGH YES" she did the same back, and mrs. Howard started with a boring lesson.

Hayes POV

When I walked in the class after waiting all morning in the office I saw everybody staring at me oh my god I hope they don't recognize me from vine or I'll have to switch schools again I said to myself

The teacher started to introduce me and I could tell nobody did. Mrs. Howard told me to go sit in front of laken and pointed to the desk in front of her oh my fucking god she is so pretty. I walked over and noticed her hoodie with the Justin bieber mugshot I Laughed and told her I liked it we had a conversation after that she is so perfect then the class started with some boring lesson I couldn't get laken off my mind the whole class.
