Tell Her The Truth

After school I walk outside with my backpack in hand and a determined mind. I was going to tell syn today, I can't hold these feelings about her anymore. Walking to her car I see Damien and her already there looking at his phone in disbelief. Tilting my head to the side I make it to where they are standing and stare down at the phone. Dropping my backpack in shock I cover my mouth.

Syn looks away from the phone and stares blankly at the entrance of the school. Kris surprises me by jumping on my back, laughing and hugging me tightly, "my favorite per- holy motherfucking shit is that a porno?!" She says looking down at the phone in Damien's hand. Syn turns to look at her and the only way I can describe her look is a silent angry making kris cringe and look the other way.

In the video on Damien's phone it is a video of London with none other then syns cousin, Tay, getting strapped down doggy style as Tay smiles at the camera. Tay and Syn have always been this way... they hate each other with a passion and when it is known someone wants one of them, the other takes them without a second glance to hurt each other. Syn crosses her arms as I look at her apologetically.

"Well this is something for the books," Damien said scratching the back of his head an awkward silence falling right after. Syn scowls at the entrance to the school and I turn seeing London making her way towards us as happy as ever. She reaches Syn and tries to wrap her arms around her neck but Syn grabs her arms and pins them to her sides, " nawwww Lon don't touch me girl," letting go of her hands Syn looks Lon up and down with disgust written all over her face.

"Aww Syn what's wrong?" Lon says pouting and reaching for Syn again. Syn grabs Damien and forces him to stand in front of her, "how was that backshot with Tay Lon?" Syn asks leaning back and tilting her head up to the sky smacking her teeth. There was a moment of silence as London stares at the ground in shock. Getting her bearings together she moves her hair out of her face, "it was only one time Syn. I was feeling lonely and you wouldn't answer my messages so I thought you dropped me," she says kicking around the gravel under her feet.

"So that gives you a right to sleep with my cousin of all people?" Syns asks looking over at me and pointing at London with a face that says 'can you believe this girl?' Shaking my head I get in the backseat of her car and wait for them to finish talking.

The argument didn't last much longer because Syn just walked away while she was still trying to explain herself and got in the car followed by Damien. Sighing she turned the car on and started to pull out.
"So why you so mad Syn? Not like y'all were dating or anything.." Damien says while shrugging. "I ain't mad about that. I'm mad that she kissed me having Tay strap in her mouth.." syn says while pouting looking like a three year old, "now I got strap on my lips.."

Damien throws his head back laughing and I laugh so hard I start wheezing. Syn shrugs and pulls up to our house waiting on us to get out. I grab my bag and pull my phone out.
Me: I'm going to do it tonight.. I'm going to make my move.

Getting out of the car I watch as Damien runs in the house not bothering saying bye. 'Nows my chance. Make a move Lanai don't be scared' I thought fiddling with my fingers as I make my way to her window. Knocking on it she looks at me and rolls the window down to hear what I gotta say. "What's up Lani? Something wrong?" She says furrowing her brows.
"Noo! Nothings wrong I just wanted to know...." I say biting my lip and looking the other direction wondering how to put how I feel into words. Syn looks at me expectantly and an idea pops into my head.

Shaking my head I lean down and poke my head in the driver window and look Syn dead in her golden eyes. "Can me and Damien come over tonight? Spend the night and stuff. I know you don't want to be alone tonight." I say doing a happy dance in my head for not stuttering or giving myself away. Syn looks at me and smiles her eyes crinkling in the corners as she says, "yea I'm down you know I don't mind if y'all come over," sighing in relief I raise up and throw my backpack over my shoulder, "cool see you soon," I say as I walk to the house.

"See you!" Syn yells as she pulls out and makes her way to her house. Running up the stairs I lock myself in my room and jump up and down in excitement. Grabbing my phone I look and see a message from Kris.
Bestie: omg how are you going to do it?!
Me: let's go shopping I got something big planned for tonight Kris. Syn won't know what to do. At least if this goes the way I hope.

Biting my lip I wait for a response.
Bestie: I am soooo down let's go shopping. Let's make you irresistible girlll lol
Smiling I lock my phone and smile for what's about to happen tonight. Maybe my dreams can be turned to a reality..
