Jess looked at her bloody hands with fear. 'Why, why is this so-' Her eyes widened. She couldn't think properly. She was frozen. What's happening? She tried to get up but instead slipped on the substance and fell into it.
' I- I- I have to get out of here.' She got up and hauled her arms over the platform edge and hauled herself up onto the platform and crawled away from the edge of the platform and lent against a tall wire fence. She looked at her hands with tears running down her face from fear, she was so confused. She was covered in blood. Her eyes started to water. "Why is this happening to me? Why?" She buried her head into her legs, wrapped her arms around herself for a sense of protection and shut her eyes tightly.
Kashima. A distorted female voice rasped. She froze, eyes still shut tightly. She didn't dare move, even as she heard shuffling and the scraping of something metal against concrete.
Kaa....shi....maa. She heard it again, but this time it sounded closer. Why?
Kaaaa...shiiii...maaa. Now it sounded about two or three metres away, but Jess dared not move. She held her breath and started trembling. W-Why? She started whimpering.
KASHIMA!! She had bolted upright at the voice. Arms by her side and head at attention, whilst frantically searching for the owner of that voice that had sounded right by her ear.
She froze again. Directly in front of her was a girl, (or at least he thought it was a girl, if the hair was anything to go by) on her hands leaning into her personal space with eyes... no, not eyes.. more like voids staring right into her own. In her right hand, she held a scythe, tightly gripped. You would have thought she was part of a horror slasher film if she wasn't so bloody close to Jess' face.
She wasn't doing anything, not so much as a breath of air could be inhaled at that moment. She was too frozen to do much of anything at the moment. After what seemed like hours, but was actually minutes, she did something. She raised her right hand slowly reached out her hand to touch the creature that was currently leaning over her. She slowly (read: really slowly) raised her hand past the midnight like curtains of bangs shrouded down the front of her face and... Then she did it. She touched the creatures face. It didn't move, didn't even twitch. Not even her hair moved in the slight breeze. There was something mesmerizing about this creature, almost familiar. Even as she lightly ran her fingers across he face.
Kashima... The voice went unheard, even as she saw the creatures lips moving, she paid it no mind.
Return to meeeee..... Yet again, the rasp like voice went unheard.
It was only when Jess' hands were near the creatures chin did she notice something very strange. At first, she didn't pay much attention as she was so engaged in inspecting the creatures face that she didn't notice the lack of legs the creature had. In fact she hadn't even noticed its hand coming up to her own face until she felt it. At first it felt like something cold – kind of like stone – but the something happened. When the creature touched her face.. She felt it. She knew it. She recognized it. It all came back... the memories.. the pain. Why.. why did I have to...
The creature grinned – not like one of those grins you make when you're laughing at something – but one of those creepy knowing grins you make when your about to pull some nasty prank or something. It raised both of its hands and grabbed her face and leaned in until their noses were touching and rasped in a voice similar to Jess' own voice in her head
"Welcoome baaaack kaashiimaaaa..."
...... What? And then she woke up.
