third person's pov

"so..." taehyung started, sitting on a bench, with coffee in his hands, he made earlier.

jeongguk sat beside him, no space in between, taking a sip of his coffee.

"tae..." jeongguk said, making taehyung blush at the pet name.

"y-yes, ggukie?" taehyung mentally cursed himself for stuttering.

"i'm sorry, tae. it wasn't fair of me to do that to you." jeongguk said, and taehyung frowned.

"why did you do it, ggukie? i thought you would support me in whatever i did..." taehyung mumbled, looking down.

"i have a reason..." jeongguk said, making taehyung furrow his eyebrows.

"i was being bullied..." jeongguk looked down.

taehyung gasped by the new information, immediately feeling bad.

"i'm sorry..." taehyung mumbled, frowning.

"it's not your fault, tae. they bullied me for having a, as they said, 'she-man for a boyfriend.' and i wanted to fight back, because no one can say such stuff about my baby, but they beat me up, tae. remember the few days i didn't come to college?"

taehyung nodded.

"i was in the hospital, admitted..." jeongguk said, sniffling, looking down.

"i didn't want you to think that i was weak..."

"ggukie..." taehyung mumbled, placing their cups on the stand beside,  before pulling jeongguk in a hug.

"i'm sorry, tae. i was selfish to ask that from you. i'm sorry for not telling you, bun...i'm sorry for not being a good boyfriend."

jeongguk sobbed, causing taehyung's heart to break, as he teared up too.

both lovers cried in each others arms.

"it's okay, ggukie. i'm here... i'll be with you, as y-your fr-friend..."

taehyung's heart ached, saying the word 'friend,' since he wanted to be so much more.

he wanted to go back to being lovers. soul mates.

he wanted to be in jeongguk's arms already. he wanted to wake up to sweet kisses being placed on his face. he wanted to wear the other's oversized hoodies, which made him smell like the other.

he just wanted to kiss and make up.
