Engulfed in flames

As i was starting to wake up, i could hear loud crackling sounds, and light kept flickering threw my eye lid's. I slowly started to open my eyes and looked to my right to see fire engulfing the room i was in. I leapt up and didn't know where i was or why this was happening. Screams were coming from down the hall, i had to get out and help the others out. I scurried to the window to see where i was and this house was in the middle of a Forest. A big one at that. I rushed towards the door and tried the handle. It didn't budge, and the fire was spreading quickly. I took about 5 paces back and then charged the door, to which upon impact it swung open. I stumbled on the other side nearly falling over but then I gathered myself and ran towards some screaming coming from the end of the landing. Bits and pieces of burning timber were falling from the roof, singeing my hair and trying to block my path. I got to the end of the room to see a door, the person on the other end was screaming for help. I rushed the door and it swung open. Stumbling in i was then able to see a child, a little girl in some Victorian sleeping wear. Surprised i said "im here. You need to run quickly!" she then replied "thanks awfully sir" in an unsure voice. I then led her out of the room quickly and towards the stairs, that at sight were still intact. I ran down the stairs with her following behind me trying to keep up with my pace. I let go of her hand as we approached the front door and I jumped at it sideways on. it blew open and i landed on the floor in quite a lot of pain. The little girl sprinted over and asked " are you alright sir?" in a panicked voice. I replied with "Il live". we both ran for the trees and were trying to get clear of the House. When we reached the tree line I stopped and started to sit down. She did too and we both sat there on the grass watching the building burn. Around 5 minutes in my vision faded to white and the noise of fire slowly turned into the noise of rustling trees and my vision came back. I found myself in the woods again outside the pill box staring into the sky above wondering if i will ever leave the density of the forest and why do i keep fading out. Again uncertainty filled my mind as i lay there clueless.
