Hello! Thank you for reading my story, I hope you enjoy what I've come up with!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Max! Come here boy!” Jason called to his service dog. But he wasn’t just a service dog, he was his best friend ever since he was a little boy and his dog was a pup. Jason was born blind. So, his parents had their puppy trained to be Jason’s service dog. Jason turned twelve recently and his dog was 5 in a half years old. His dog was a golden retriever.
His dog came to him and licked his hands. “Good boy.” He scratched behind his ears while Max enjoyed it by wagging his tail.
“Come on boys! Dinner’s ready!” She said referring to Jason and Max.
“Coming mom! Okay boy, let’s go.” He patted Max on his back and Max led his master up the porch and into the door.
Jason’s mom allowed her son to go out and take a walk around the neighborhood, just as long as Max was with him. She has been a widow for three years ever since her husband had gone off to war and was blown up from a grenade. She made a living as a cook at a very fancy restaurant.
“Mmmm…smells good mom.” Jason closed his eyes sniffing the aroma. Max seemed to be doing the same thing too.
“I made your favorite – spaghetti and meatballs.” She said placing it on his place mat.
Jason began to eat right away.
She gave Max a small portion of spaghetti and meatballs too.
When they were done, Jason’s mom tucked Jason into his bed and Max came into his room, sleeping on the rug next to his bed.
“Let’s say a prayer:” Jason suggested.
“Dear Lord, I thank you for blessing me with everything I have. I thank you for this great day and for my best friend Max. I pray for all the people in the world who are sick and are poor. And I pray that you’ll heal my eyes when I go to heaven with you someday. Amen.”
Since Jason could not see, his mother had a loose tear on the side of her face smiling.
“I love you Jason.” She hugged him.
“I love you too, mom. Good night.”
“Good night sweetie.” She kissed his forehead.
He went to sleep.
