Crazy, ain't it? How your whole world could change in a matter of few seconds?
Um let me start from the beginning. Y'all, I'm Zara Smith. A regular teenager of 15 years who loves to keep a diary where she can enter all her insecurities, her fears without having the fear of being judged.
     Until....well, can't and wouldn't break the suspense.
My life isn't a piece of cake, though. I have got many insecurities and I'm...different. I have weird kind of powers which make me an official "FREAK". Even I couldn't really put my hands on these powers of mine.
But, I'm not. I definitely am not.
My parents passed away when I was of 5. Died in an accident, I was told. But I've always wondered. Hard. I've never seen my parents. I mean, not even their pictures. Weird.
Wait. It gets weirder. I've never seen my 0-5 year old self. I don't have any picture dated back then. My first picture is of my 6th birthday.
About my power, now. Well, I'm really strong (not bragging). I can lift every thing. Literally. From a pencil to a huge cupboard, every single thing, that too, without any physical strain.
Guess, that makes me a freak.
Well, I stay with my aunt and uncle. They're literally the most brutal, selfish people I've ever met. Literally. So I couldn't really depend on them to hear me out.
What alternative do I have? Nothing? No. I owned a diary. My only companion.
     Until today.
It was a regular uneventful day in my school. The usual bullies, everything. O couldn't wait to go to my house and write in my diary.
Well, my dream was shattered when I came home to my usual spot, where I always keep my diary and all of a sudden, BOOM. I met with a short heart attack.
     MY DIARY WAS NOT THERE.
I began panicking real hard. I couldn't think straight. I rushed downstairs and saw my aunt and uncle. I couldn't retain my anger, anymore.
"WHAT THE HELL! HOW CAN YOU TOUCH MY STUFF WITHOUT EVEN HAVING THE AUDACITY TO CONTACT ME OR TALK TO ME. WHO THE HELL, GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO EVEN ENTER IN MY ROOM. GIVE ME BACK MY DIARY AND NOBODY GETS HURT!"
Well, my aunt and uncle didn't snicker or snap at me. Rather, they were a bit taken aback. Their expression changing from surprise to astonishment to determined anger.
"Listen, young lady. Enough of this bullshit. We won't be tolerant anymore. I warn you, if..."
And just like that, she stopped. Her eyes widening in fear. It was like, her eyes caught a ghost and she was trying to not believe what she was seeing. My aunt and uncle, both of them were backing away.
     "What's the-'
"Back away, Zara. Back the hell away from us. Do not come near us."
I was shocked. First, they steal my diary. Then they order me to back away.
So, I did the most reluctant thing that any teenager, in my situation, would have done. I took a step towards them.
Only difference? With normal teenagers, you wouldn't expect anything to happen. But, I was a 'FREAK'. Something or the other HAD to go wrong. So, it did.
A wave of strong telekinetic force, emerging from God knows where, strikes my aunt and uncle. It was a pleasant sight (ok lol, sorry) to see them stranded and pulled back, banging their heads against the door. I had to sustain my laughter.
"GODDAMN IT. GO TO YOUR ROOM. NOW. YOU'RE BIG ENOUGH NOW. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE ANY KIND OF RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. THAT'S IT. THIS IS THE LIMIT. YOUR UNCLE AND I ARE LEAVING YOU. DEAL WITH SHIT ON YOUR OWN."
And with these words of wisdom, she sent me up. I was dumbfounded. As much as I hated them, I never expected them to leave me like this and yet, I saw the wild determination in my aunt's face.
And, now here I am. Hours might have passed by now. I have no idea. All I know is that I'm alone and I don't have any idea what is to come.
     And what's more?
I don't even have a diary with me anymore.
