Pretty, pretty simple life, it's a pretty simple life for a girl like me to have. I'm not complaining, I like simple I always have. Simple is another way to describe me. My name is Raven. I turned eighteen years old last Wednesday. I have naturally wavy chestnut hair. I'm pretty short for my age I'm around 5'5. I have a small family. My mother Admana, my dad Aaron, and my baby brother Orion who's seven.

We live together in a small cabin style house. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a small living room, there are about six windows throughout the house. Our house is just one of the many other houses that look like ours. All the neighbors are nice and sweet. My high school is just a couple of blocks away. I have so many groups of friends that I have lost track of how many I have.

I have such an awesome lie, that is what I would say if it was at all true. The truth is that my house only has two bedrooms, meaning I share it with Orion. We have a very small kitchen that only two people can be in at a time. My high school got blown up a couple of years ago by a gang of kids. For my friends, I never really had any. I was always looked at as an outcast.

If you had a name like Raven, when I wanted to play with the other kids they would scream and call me a monster because of that scar I have from the cheek down to my jaw on the right side of my face that I don't remember getting and having a second degree burn from my neck down my collarbone that is on the left side of my neck. I would have to listen to the mean comments that they say about me behind my back every single day. My neighborhood really isn't a neighborhood it's more of a camp. Our ancestors used to live in the big beautiful city until that fateful day that our government sent out their army to kill everyone who disobeyed their commands. Many of us lost family that day. The government then divided everyone into a big campsite where I live that was later given the name "Sword-breaker."

I remember learning about that in school and the teacher saying that our camp is the last one because the government decided to have another killing spree. I don't think that is true, do I have any proof? No, but I still think there are others out there.
