Sisters

(You're 13 years old)

I haven't seen Lauren since forever and she is coming home to be with us for a month. Right now I'm alone at the house watching tv since mom and dad are at work, Chris is in college and Taylor is at a friend's house right now. Lauren should be here in a couple of minutes. I hear the door being unlocked or maybe she'll come in a second. The door opens and I turn around and see Lauren. "LAUR!" I yell while I run towards her and hug her. "Hey nugget," she says while hugging me tightly. "I missed you," Lauren tells me while pulling away from the hug. "I missed you too Laur," I tell her back.

We walk to the couch and sit down. "So how's school going for you?" Lauren asks me. "Eh, same old same old. You know people trying to be friends with me because I'm your sister," I tell her and she giggles.

"What do you feel like doing? Just me and you," Lauren asks me. "Um... I don't know," I tell her while shrugging my shoulders. "How 'bout the mall, Mom told me you need new clothes," Lauren tells me. "Pfft, what? I don't need new clothes," I tell her. "Yes you do, the last time I was here you barely had anything," she says. "That's not true," I lie. "Yeah it is," she giggles. "Now come on, I'm taking my baby sister to the mall," she says while getting up and walking to the front door. I sigh, welp, I can't stop her now. I get up and follow her out the door to her car.

When we got to the mall Lauren takes me to Forever21, now here's the thing I'm more tomboyish, I like to wear just t-shirts. That's why I barely have any clothes because I feel that my mom and dad would want me to wear clothes that are more girly. (if you haven't notice I always have you either a tomboy or trans because I myself am more of a tomboy) "Laur, why are we in this store?" I ask her. "Took look for some clothes for you." Great.

"Laur, I don't really want clothes from here," I tell her. "Well where do you want them from?" she asks me. "Well, I don't know," I look up at Lauren and she looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "What kind of clothes do you like wearing?" she asks me. I start playing with my fingers nervously. "I like wearing more... tomboyish clothes," I tell her nervously. "So you kind of like to wear men's clothing," she says. "I guess, yeah," I tell her while looking down. I look up at Lauren and she is just staring at me. "Well why didn't you say so. Come on," Lauren says then grabs my hand and starts dragging me to who knows where. "So your not mad?" I ask Lauren. "Mad? Why will I be mad. I can't control what you like to wear. If that's what you want too wear then okay, I won't judge you. You're my little sister, I'll always love you no matter what," she tells me while hugging me. "Thank you," I tell her. "No problem," she says while ruffling me hair. "Stop," I tell her while glaring at her while Lauren giggles.

After buying me a couple of pants and shirts of my choice and also a snapback we decide we should get some food. I saw some girls coming towards us, maybe about six. They all had big smiles on their faces, one looked like she may pass out. "OMG Lauren, I'm a such big fan. Can we have a picture?" one said as they all crowed around my sister. Lauren was talking to I'm assuming her fans while I just stand there. I'm just going to go and get ice cream while Lauren talks to them.

I was now just walking around the mall while eating my mint chocolate ice cream cone. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I took it out and saw a picture of me and Lauren.

"Hey Laur," I say when I answered the phone.

"Where are you? You are not supposed walk away like that " Lauren says sternly.

"Um I left to get ice cream," I tell Lauren

"Why didn't you wait?" Lauren asks.

"I didn't want to. I knew it was going to take long," I tell her. When Lauren has a free day and if she's out in public and fans notice her Lauren talks to them for a really long time.

"You should've still waited. What if someone took you because your my sister," she says.

"You sound like mom," I say.

"Sorry, I'm just protective of you. You're the youngest," she says. Now I feel kind of bad for leaving.

"I know, sorry. It's just that I've missed you and I've been waiting to hang out with you and they just come out of nowhere," I tell her

"Aww, tell you what, the next time fans come up to me I'll just tell them I'm hanging out with my awesome little sister and I don't have time to talk to them," Lauren tells me.

"Really?" I say

"Really," she says.

"Okay," I say with happiness.

"Now tell me where you're at," she says

"Um I'm by Hollister," I say.

"WHAT! I've been walking around that part of the mall for the past couple of minutes and I never saw you," she says.

"Well you don't look right," I say

"Don't give me your sassiness," she says as I laugh. I turn around and I see Lauren walking towards me. "You need to get taller, that's why I couldn't see you," she says. "Hey! I'm not short," I say. "Yes you are,"

"No I'm not,"

"Yes you are,"

"No I'm not,"

"Yes you are,"

"No I'm not,"

"No you're not,"

"Yes I am, wait. You tricked me," I say while I punch her shoulder. "I can't believe you fell for that," she says while laughing. I also can't believe I fell for that, who does. "Why didn't you get me any ice cream?" she asks while pouting. "I only had enough money for one, which is for me," I tell her. "Then give me some of yours," she says as she grabs my ice cream from my hands. "Hey!" I say. She gives me back my ice cream after she's had a lick.

"Let's go get food and go home," Lauren says while she puts her arm around my shoulder while I'm pouting. She licked my ice cream.

When we got home I put all my new clothing where they go and I go downstairs to eat some pizza that me and Lauren settled on getting. We decided to eat the pizza in the living room while we watch some tv.

After we were both done eating Lauren lays down and I just sit back. I turn to Lauren and she looks back at me. She gesture for me to come closer to her. I come closer and she sits up and puts her arms around me and pulls me down with her. My head is on top of her chest and we just continue watching tv.

"I miss this Laur. Us having sister time," I say as I look at Lauren. "I know nugget, I did to. I was really excited to spend time with you when I was coming home," she says. "Love you big sis," I say. "Love you too nugget," she says.

This is what we did till mom, dad, and Taylor came home. I really did miss my sister and I'm so happy that she's going to stay home for a little while.
