"Before there were Vampires like me and Stefan, there was Lila. She's what some may call... an energy Vampire in the twilight world." Stefan began, his hand finally healed from the broken glass he had shattered as Lila played with his head. "I don't know how Lila was created. Rumor has it that her mother sacrificed an entire village to make her what she was, so her family would rule forever."
Telling my story to your new lover? Tell me, Elena, who do you love more. Stefan, or Damon?
Damon, Stefan, and Elena all turned to look at one another at the sound of Lila's voice capturing their minds. It sounded like she was in the room with them.
"Is that her?" Elena whispered quietly, as if whispering would keep Lila out of their heads.
Damon nodded, Stefan only pulled her closer.
Me and Damon go way back, Elena. You see, unlike Katherine, I never had trouble choosing between brothers. Damon had potential, and Stefan? All he had was potential of getting in the way.
"Thanks Lila," Stefan grimaced, "always a pleasure."
Please do continue Stefan. You were just getting to the good part.
Clearing his throat, Stefan began to speak while Damon tried to push the images Lila has resurfaced into the back of his mind. Far, far away as Stefan continued explaining to Elena just how dangerous she was.
"What Lila is... is not like us, she's powerful. Even more powerful than the originals. Thousands of vampires of running from Klaus, but Klaus is running too. Running from her."
Elena gasped at the words, she didn't believe them, couldn't believe a vampire like Klaus would be afraid of anyone let alone a single girl.
"Lila lives by draining humans, and if she chooses, any supernatural being, of their energy-"
"She eats their soul, brother." Damon chimed in.
Stefan rolled his eyes and only continued, "She drains their energy until they die, and if she doesn't kill them they become empty shells of who they once were. Lifeless. And every time she absorbs their energy she gains their knowledge, abilities. But that's not what makes her so dangerous Elena. Lila is a host."
"A host?"
"A parasite," Damon once more added.
Come on, a parasite. Really, Damon? Is that the best you could do. I'm pretty sure you loved me at one point.
Elena turned to look at Damon, eyes widened and wondering if it was true. He only shrugged at her. It was confirmation of the truth.
"When Lila's body dies, her soul jumps into another body. She could die today and end up in your body, Elena, and if that happened you would simply seize to exist. She kills their soul and takes over their body. She can't be killed."
Questionable seeing as witch bitch today sure seems to think I'm killable.
"The day we can finally kill you will be the happiest day of my life."
Not unless I kill you first with your lovely little dogs, Damon.
"Lila's powers..." Stefan says, regaining the attention of Elena and Damon. "She can put thoughts in your head, make you see things that aren't there, she takes one look at you and she knows your innermost secrets. She can destroy any person because she can control them."
If we are done with this little tell-all-tale, I'd really love to be rescued now because I'm trapped in a coffin and am not entirely keen on discovering what happens after I die this time.
"If she thinks she's going to stay dead for good why don't we just leave here there. Then the problem will be solved," Elena suggests. She stands from the bed and turns to Damon, a sudden urge washing over her.
From trapped underground miles away, Lila smiles to herself as she sees the scene unfold before her. She looks through Elena's eyes as she forces the thought in her mind. Kiss Damon. Kiss Damon. And so Elena walks towards him and grabs him passionately, shoving her lips against his. Lila feels Damon's reluctance and forces the thought into his head as well. Kiss Elena. Kiss Elena.
"Elena, Damon?" Stefan asks, unsure of what's happening.
Lila's laughter fills through the room before freeing Elena and Damon who step away from each other quickly.
Stefan looks towards Damon and they both know.
"That is why we need to help Lila. Now."
That's more like it boys. Now let's hurry before I suffocate, I'm running out of air as we speak and being buried alive is truly an unpleasant way to die.
