"Hey Zeph wait up!!!!"
My best friend, Dewgrass called.
"If you can catch me Dew!!" I holered over me sholder as she and I sprinted to our secret location.
The twigs and and dried leaves under my hooves made a loud but nice crunching sound as I ran. Bunnies and other rodents bolted out of way of us as we thundered and weaved through the trees.
I could hear Dewgrass weazing and panting, as she struggled to keep up with my speed. I slowed down to a canter and she caught up with me.
"I keep forgetting that you are super fast, why do I race you?" She said, looking at me with a silly face.
I chucked, " I don't know Dew, but I love the exercize!"
"Me too, I am glad to have you as my friend," she replied
"I am blessed to have such a wonder friend too," and I smiled.
As we approached our little hidden 'cove' that Dewgrass and I found, we could smell the presence of our other friends, the twins.
"Looks like the twins beat us," I said astounded.
"Yeah, they beat you!" Dewgrass said shocked as well.
I pushed back the vines covering the entrance with my head, "Losers first" I teazed.
Dewgrass's lips made a thin line and she narrowed her eyes, "Hey, I'm not a loser..."
"I never insuated YOU were, we both are, the twins beat us BOTH." I related sarcastically.
"Ohhh. right, right," She said in remembrance, and turned to enter the 'cove' but was blocked by another young buck.
"You fools coming in or what?" Mistbreeze, one of the twins, said as he poked his head out and stuck out this tongue after his sentence.
"Yes, yes, hold your antlers," I said quickly and motioned for him to move back so as Dewgrass could enter.
