John White, a teen on the urge to give up on preparing for his finals the following Thursday, is looking kind of gloomy at his food.
His mother asks,"Why are you so dull and gloomy son? Whats wrong? Lost your appetite?". As she begins to worry.
John: "No its just the pressure on the finals is killing me, its in two days and I dont know what to do." As he leans back on his chair.
Mother: "Why dont you study for a little while and sleep for the night, ok?"
As the both get up from the table John cleans up for his mother, he heads off upstairs to study for his exams.
*Later that night at 22:43. The house was so silent, you could hear voices from the other rooms*
As John finishes up studying he gets a brisk shower and gets into his silk and wooden framed bed, he hears a distant voice from downstairs. He instantly knew who it was, it was his mothers soft tone. The words were difficult to make out.
"Can not tell him.....hes only 16....will hurt his feelings....he cant know just yet.....---NO YOU WONT---" She suddenly stops.
John stares blankly at the ceiling breathing uneasily, he starts to question himself. Who was that? What cant I know? What is kept secret from me? He begins to think its just irrelevant and not important, he lays on his side and closes his eyes.
*At 01:27 he shoots up out of his bed, after hearing something shatter and a dog barking.*
What was that, he thought. He rushes down into the corridor seeing his mother on the floor, bruised and blistered. As John rushes towards his wounded mother, her eyes go black as if they were possessed, suddenly charging at him in the blink of an eye. Suddenly in a flash he wakes up again, breathing heavily with beads of sweat dripping down his face. John couldnt sleep from there onward, rocking back and forth not knowing if he was still sleeping or not.
