You know the usual bad luck charms? Like don't open the umbrella in the house ,don't walk under a ladder, don't step on a crack ,don't spill the salt, don't split the poll, stay away from black cats they are bad luck. But what if you were all bad luck embodied into one person, you can't stay away from yourself can you?

No?, I didn't think so. My name is Melina, and I am a typical 18-year-old with more bad luck than a million black cats.

It all started when I was born. When my Mom had me there was 5 car crashes nearby, a tornado in the next town over, and a severe thunderstorm in our town. And that's not all, after I was born something happened so my Mom isn't able have another child. When my mom heard the news that she wasn't able to have another child,

she was furious. Before she had me my Dad and Her said that they wanted a lot of children. Now that's not possible because of me.

Since she couldn't Just throw me away right there she decided that she would just decide to abuse me and take her anger out on me when I was only 7 years old. My Dad decided to turn a blind eye to it for the first few months after I turned 7. But after that he was pounding on me just like she did.

Now, you would think, 'why don't they just adopt a child?'

Well it seems like my Mom only wants a child of her "own blood" and not some "strangers child" as she says. Even though I am her own flesh and blood. She doesn't care, she just wants another child and probably not one with so much bad luck . I had to deal with it for 11 years. But It all changed when I was 18. When I finally saved up enough money to move to Texas for college. I was free. I was finally able to get out of the hellhole that I had called my home. But even if I left one hellhole I had to fuck it up and land myself into another one.But this wasn't the usual where my mom would come home and decide to hurt me,
no it was my roommate Alexandra. It turns out that Alexandra was actually as she calls it "The head bitch." When I first arrived I walked into her and her boyfriend making out on the couch. When her boyfriend saw me he immediately pushed her off . When alexandra saw me I knew she didn't like me probably because I interrupted them. "um, hello my name is Melina and I'm your new roommate." Alexandra looked at me and rolled her eyes clicking her tongue "Your room is straight up there to the right." I nodded my head and got out of there. I Didn't want to be there when they continued with their activities. When I had gotten into my room I closed the door and locked it while sighing. I flopped onto my bed and closed my eyes. That was just the beginning I can tell. Ugh what did I get myself into with this bad luck of mine.
