"what!?" jisung and chenle exclaimed in unison.
almost all of the people inside the restaurant heard that shout but, luckily they continued their own businesses.
"mom! i'm not going to marry that.. " jisung looked at chenle.
"cabbage haired boy!" he continued which made chenle shocked.
"hey! my hair isn't cabbage! you chicken." chenle huffed, rolling his eyes.
"who you said chicken?" jisung questioned, full of annoyance.
"enough!" chenle's mom said as the two boys stopped complaining, instead they glared at each other.
"jisung, let me talk to you outside." jisung's mom said and softly dragged him outside the restaurant.
"mom! what's that thing going on inside? i thought we just came for a dinner, yet you here all of a sudden saying i'm getting married? oh c'mon!" jisung scoffed with disbelief.
"jisung this is for your own sake. our company is having a trouble and to be able to fix it, i need money which made me decide to sell our house and land lot." his mom explains.
"but, that money isn't enough, chaena heard the news and kind of help me. i'll rent a small apartment for myself while you stay in their house with your soon-to-be husband." jisung's mom said as jisung rolled his eyes.
"i would rather sleep in that small apartment than marrying that cabbage boy." jisung said.
💍
"aren't you happy that you're marrying your ultimate crush?" renjun whispered to chenle.
"of course! i'm really happy! it's just, i can't stand his attitude. he even call me cabbage haired boy." chenle said sighing.
"is it really cabbage?" chenle added.
"nope." renjun replied which made chenle sighed in relief.
"well, it looks like a grass for me." renjun said as chenle rolled his eyes.
"chenle? if you're angry to me of letting you marry jisung, i'm sorry —"
chenle cutted his mom's sentence.
"mom, i'm happy." chenle said smiling from ear to ear.
"glad I made you happy." his mom said smiling.
their conversation was interrupted by jisung entering the restaurant towards their table with his mom behind him.
"excuse me, i need to go home now. thank you for the dinner." jisung said bowing and running out the restaurant leaving his mother.
"i'm sorry about his attitude." jisung's mom apologized.
"it's okay mrs. park, i understand." chenle said.
💍
jisung packed his things since his mom already found a small apartment they could live for awhile.
"jisung-ah. we're moving. did you finished packing?" his mom asked him.
"hmm." jisung hummed in response while pulling his trolley and holding his bag.
"i'll put this boxes inside the car. please lock the door." his mom said leaving jisung inside their house.
"i'll miss this." jisung said, glancing around the house before walking out and locked the door.
he placed his trolley in the back of his car and seated in the passengers seat with his mom driving.
"are you excited for our new home?" his mom asked him. jisung didn't answered back and remained silent.
after an hour, park family arrived in their new house. it was small compared to their previous house.
"we're living here?" jisung questioned his mom while looking into the apartment.
"yes sweetie. please help me dropped this box inside." his mom said walking out their car.
jisung slowly walked inside their apartment and saw how dusty and old it was. "i can't believe this." he murmured dropping the boxes he carried on the floor.
"jisung, use this." his mom said handing him a broom.
"what's this for?" jisung asked his mom, confused.
"cleaning. now go and sweep the floor." his mom commanded.
"mom! you know how I hate cleaning!" jisung objected.
his mom pretended that she didn't hear what jisung says and continued dusting the windows and cabinets.
i freaking hate this kind of life.
