I miss you

You wanted to leave
So I said goodbye
My heart didn't hurt
I didn't cry

Some time went by
And I felt alone
You made me so happy
And now you are gone

One day you left me
The next taken once more
By that guy that I met
This has happened before

You left me for him
How is that fair
When you were with me
We would separate ne'er

So break ups happen
I understand
But you got my hopes up
That you'd STAY my man

What happened to the ring
That symbolized promise
What about marriage?
Isn't that what you wanted?

You said that to me
Then too soon you left
My heart aches for you
Such a theft...

You stole my heart
And then I got laid
So you got what you want
Then you escaped

You said you loved me then
But how can I believe you
You got what you wanted and left
You know it's true!

We had sex then you left
My body wants your touch
When you left it didn't hurt
But now it hurts TOO much

I love you and I hate it
For the pain that you caused
I wish EVERY memory of you
Was just gone

But of course that can't happen
I still have your jacket at home
And I put it on at night
So I can be held close

I miss your warm embrace
I miss every kiss too
I miss my sunshine
I miss you
