"Got ya" I said while pointing my sword at him. He then said "Ok, ok I give up". I smiled at him, savouring my victory, and gave him a hand to help him up. "Even after so long you still manage to surprise me" he spoke. I opened my mouth to tease him, but then I heared my father's voice calling us. We ran to him and asked "What's wrong, father?" He answered "Don't tell me you forgot that today is the day the new king will be chosen. We wanted to go there to watch it."
Every time a king dies, the sword inside the rock will choose its owner. And then the person that is chosen, will be the next king and will rule the country along with the knights of the round table. That was the story that was passed through generations and generations. Dad was also a knight of the round table, but after mom's death he gave his position up, so that he could focus on me and my brother.
"Of course we didn't forget it. We were so excited!" Father chuckled and started walking to the castle, where the ceremony would have started start. Me and my brother followed him quietly. When we reached the castle, there were many people gathered. A line of muscular men was formed in front of the legendary sword. I guess everyone wnats to be king. Even my brother, Benjamin, was taking place. I knew better than everyone how much he wanted this and has trained for it, so I silently cheered for him.
No man could pull the sword from the rock. This time it was Benjamin's turn. He was the last guy so it must be him, right? I walked closer to have a better view. Benjamin watched the sword and took hold of it. He tried to pull but it wouldn't move. As he still struggled a knight said "Well that's it. You are not the king either." But Benjamin shouted "No, not yet. I'm so close..."
I could't take it anymore so I ran to him and took hold of his arm. Then I pull him and screamed at him "Benjamin stop it. Just let it go! You act like an idiot!" But he didn't hear me and continuied. As I tried again, I felt something inside of me. I couldn't understand the feeling, but as I got closer to the sword, it started shining and it was out. On Benjamin's hands. He started laughing loudly and shouted to the crowed "I told I was close. Now bow to your king." I couldn't believe it. How? A while ago he couldn't do it. So why now?
