I was more than just confused! How did this happen? I looked at Benjamin who was laughing loudly while holding the sword. I could't believe this.

While I was in my thoughts, I saw Merlin coming to us. He looked first at my brother and then at me and finally said:

"I suggest that you should first put the sword back in the rock and then I want the young lady here to try to pull it."

What?! Is he crazy?! As if the sword would choose me, a girl. Benjamin was as surprised as I was and yelled angrily:

"Are you kidding me?! As if my little sister could pull the sword. Can't you see that I'm the chosen one?"

Merlin answered so calmly that in this situation it gave me the chills:

"If you were really chosen by the sword you can pull it again. So just let your little sister try."

I guess I had no choice. Well I was not gonna lose anything by trying it so that wss not gonna hurt I guess.

Benjamin put the sword in the rock again. I could tell from his look that he was really annoyed with this.

Merlin gestured me to try. I stepped a bit forward and take hold of the sword. Then took a big breath and pulled.

"What?!" I thought.

I was holding the sword directing sky. Everyone was looking at me, eyes wide, mouths opened. There was long silence. Suddenly I heared clapping and cheering.

"So I guess the new King is a girl, huh? "

"Good luck!"

I was looking at them, not believing what just happened. At that moment Merlin came to me and said with a loud, clear voice.

"Bow to your new King!"

Everyone suddenly was bowing. But then I remembered Benjamin. I looked at his direction and saw him staring at me, disbelief and anger in his eyes. I walked to try explaining myself to him but before I could start talking he ran away while pushing the crowd.

I felt really bad. It was his dream to become the King and not mine. But how did it end up like this?

I brought my gaze to the people once again and caught a glimpse of my father, cheering me on. I wanted to ran up to him and hug him tightly. But as I tried to do so, a knight held my shoulders. Before he could bring me in the castle I heared my father screaming at me:

"I know you can do it. I have faith in you."

That might have been the last time I would see him.
