SIMRA'S POV

I woke up with a smile on my face as the events of last night flashed in my brain, smiling at the thought Amir Bhai could find his potential wife and have an adorable daughter that kinda already looks like him.

I smiled to myself as I looked at my phone gallery, swiping through the photos that we took yesterday at the dinner as well as the videos I took of Amira and Amir Bhai playing together. I knew I had to send those to Safina so she could make another amazing short film.

I walked into the bathroom and almost, almost screamed at the sight of my face. My light brown hair lay on top of my head like a bird's nest with some strand falling below my waits and shoulders making my heart-shaped face much more prominent. Big circles lay below my hazel eyes due to the sleepless nights of getting ready for university. My naturally shaped eyebrows looked like they had been scribbled on and my cheekbones more prominent due to eating enough.

I sighed and stripped my clothes and jumped into the shower. I sighed as this is the uni life and the effects of going uni. I got out from the shower after doing the necessary things and wrapped a towel around myself as I headed towards my bedroom.

I changed into a cosy cultural outfit that consisted of a simple black and white embroidered Kameez with white shalwar that had a black border design along the legs.

What? My parents are Pakistani and I still do wear cultural clothes as well as English dresses and clothes.

I walked into my room with a smile on my face. I was finally 20 years old today. Now, I am not the youngest out of my friends and I may be the youngest in the family but I can finally be included in the 20s category.

I am such a weirdo I thought as I shook my head at myself and grabbed my phone and logged onto snapchat and began looking at everyone's stories.

I looked at the time and realized that it was currently 11:11 am. Oooh, 11:11. I thought as I made my way downstairs.

I was making my way downstairs when I saw Safina running towards me. She remembered I thought as I smiled at her, only to be ignored as she ran upstairs.

"Wouldn't want to walk in on Shazeb without a scarf now would we?" I hear Subhan shout as Safina scowled at him and I heard my parents tell him to be quiet.

I let out a small chuckle as I made my way towards the dining room.

"As-salaam wa alaikum everyone. How are you all?" I asked as their heads snapped to me and a stoic expression replaced the smiles.

Ouch, that just hurt. Am I really that bad?

"Was Salam beti. You look beautiful MashAllah may Allah keep you safe from any Nazar(evil eye)," my dad said as he smiled at me and gestured to the chair next to him.

"Ameen. Thank you abbu".

I sat down in the chair next to him and just kept a smile on my face regardless of the fact that everybody forgot what today was.

As we kept talking about normal family things and how work was going I saw Safina come downstairs with Amir bhai and Shazeb and smiled brightly at them.

"Does anyone know what day it is today?" I asked them as they shook their heads.

"No I'm sorry Simra what is happening today?" Safina aapi asked me as I looked at her in disbelief.

"Nothing never mind it's nothing special today," I answered as I continued to eat the breakfast Safina aapi had made.

"Well ammi can I have my friends over and was wondering if I can Aaliya aapi and her family over today?" I asked whilst looking at mum, patiently waiting for her answer.
