Chapter One

  “Ashlllyyyyyynnnnnn!!!!!!!!” screamed a familiar voice. I tried to call out, but my voice fails me. 
“Ashlllyyyyyynnnnnn!!!!!!!!” The voice called out again. “Where are you?!?”. This time it sounded more fragile and distant. I strained my ears trying to find the voice but, nothing. I struggled to pull myself off the ground, the harder I tried the further I sank.  Slowly my vision goes black.
   I awoke tangled in my blankets covered in a cold sweat. The voice still ringing fresh in my mind.
“Good morning, sleeping beauty.” Connie said as she threw open my curtains. “Look like someone had a rough night.”
“Yeah.” I said as trying to unravel myself from the sheets.
“Same dream?” She asked helping me get out from under the sheets.
“No.” I replied “It was nothing really, I can’t even remember what my it was about.”
“Okay.” She said not sure if she believed my little white lie. “Anyway it’s probably from all the junk food you ate last night.” She added as she plucked the multicolor wrappers out of my hair. 
“I was hungry.” I said giving her my best puppy dog eyes. “Also you do so much for me I wanted you to have a little break.”
“You know that I don’t have a problem doing anything for you.” She reassure me “Come on time to get ready it’s the last day of school.”
“Fine.” I said with a grunt.
    I for once was not late for school. My first few class went by in a quickly, by the time it was lunch, the excitement in the air was almost electric. I went over to my usual table and sat down and started to unpack my lunch.
   I sat there for a few minutes munching away at my peanut butter and pickle sandwich with my nose in my book when she walked in. Enter the Queen Bee Autumn Winter and her two little worker bees Sparrow Evers and Maka Wilson. I had just finished my sandwich when I saw them making their way to the “Popular” table, I sat there hoping she didn’t see me. It almost worked, but by the time she spotted me the bell rang, so I gathered my things quickly and got out of dodge.
  By the time I got to my last class I was relieved for two reasons.  One I only have forty-five more minutes with these people and my two besties Joyce Cameron and Rhys Spencer was in the back.
“Hey.” I said putting my bag the desk opposite of Rhys.
“Hey.” They said in unison.
“So any plans for the summer?” I asked
“Well I’m going to math camp.” Joyce said with a sigh. “what about you two?”
“I’m going to probably be in my room all summer reading.” I said.
“Of course.” Rhys said rolling his eyes “Well luckily for me I’m going abroad.”
“Really, to where?” Joyce scoffs
“I’m going to Japan for the summer.” Rhys replied.
“Great so I guess my summer is going to be awesome.” I thought to myself.
  After while we talk about random things, until class started. The next forty-five minutes seems to have gone by at a small pace. I sat there tapping my foot impatiently waiting for the bell to ring.
   Finally after what felt like forever the bell rang and school is officially out for the summer. We gather our things and made our way to our lockers.  As we turned down the corridor my stomach dropped. She was standing there with boyfriend Legend Princeton and two minions.
“Hey, losers.” Autumn sneered at us as we walk past her.
“We’re talking to you.” She said catching up to us with her crew in tow.
“Yeah.” Sparrow said chiming in.
“We heard you damn.” Joyce snapped back.
“Yeah.” Rhys said mocking Sparrow tone.
“I saw you at lunch, but not you two.” Autumn said in smug tone. “I thought you band of freaks was joined at the hips or something.”
“Why do you care?” I asked clearly knowing where this was going. “Let’s go she just trying to get a reaction out of us.”
“Why would I do that!” she said in a fake sugary sweet tone.
Whhhaaack!!!
Before I had a chance to react. Joyce had slapped Autumn right into the next year.
“What the hell?!” Legend hollered at us.
“I’ve been wanting to do that all year.” Joyce said with huge grin spreading across her face.
“I’m going to tell daddy about this.” Autumn said in a huff pushing past us.
“Whatever.” I called back to her. “I’m so glad we’re friends.”
“I know.” Joyce said slightly shaking her hand.
“I’m going to miss you two.” Rhys said with a chuckle as he threw his arms around our shoulders.

I know this chapter was rushed but, hopefully y’all like. Also sorry for not posting anything in like forever will try and post more often if I can.
