As I opened my eyes, I saw he had dissipated like they usually did. I gathered all my stuff and began to walk. I sighed and glanced at my wrist. Nothing. I shook my head to assure myself , "It would make sense that this one takes longer to form."

It had been about 40 minutes of walking and still nothing had formed. I stopped to observe my wrist carefully to see if anything had appeared when I heard steps nearby. I put my wrist down and continued to walk but at a slower pace so the person could pass me. I glanced back and there that person was, still the same distance from me as they were from the start. I stopped my normal pace to slow down to make it easier for them to pass but it had seemed as if they had slowed down with me. I sped up to ease my suspicions but they only spiked, they sped up as well. Maybe it's just a coincidence. I bent down and began tying knots in my shoelaces to see if this person really was following me. I heard no movement. "Fuck.", I uttered and began to prepare myself for what I might have to do. As I reached for my bag I heard footsteps.

So I wasn't being followed.

I stood with my mind at peace and waited for the person to pass me. As they finally passed by me, they stopped. Their back was towards me so I observed. It's a male. My eyes danced over his body features. I can take him, he doesn't appear strong at all. I took my fighting stance and began to reach towards him when I was cut off.

"You're rather confident aren't you?", he surmised.

What the hell? I got out of my fighting stance and went to my normal facade. I giggled forcibly, "Pardon me?"

"You know, the others usually looked around and checked if the job was done successfully.", he laughed, "But you just got up and walked away like you knew you got me."

Why does he sound familiar and why is he saying this stuff? It only took me another second to realize what I was dealing with. No it's not possible. It can't be Caelum Young, I saw him disappear. I widened my eyes and searched my wrist in a panic. Still nothing.

I stammered, "Oh my gosh! Caelum Young is that you?" I continued, "It's me Victoria Ross, you probably don't know me but I go to your school! Are you alright? I'm not sure who you are confusing me with, but I can help you find them!" I held my fake smile and awaited a response, after a little while I heard him laughing.

Short of breath he wheezed, "Victoria Ross huh? You guys really suck at choosing names." He turned to me and I tensed up as we came face to face. He noticed my face and continued, "Ah it's okay they never get me. Don't look so worried kiddo. But how long will it be until they send another one of you? I need to know how long I have to pack my bags."

I tried hard to keep my play up, but he was smiling at me. Why? I jeered softly, "Haha Caelum I can't say I know what you're talking about. Are you not safe? We can go to my apartment if you don't feel safe." I continued to smile back at him as his eyes were locked with mine.

He extolled, "Oh yes. I don't feel safe, I'd love to go to your apartment. Maybe we could even become friends!" He leaned down and whispered into my ear, "I'm sorry for mixing you up with another person. You never really know who is who nowadays, do ya?" He turned his back and begins to walk slowly ahead.

I gazed after him, "Right." He knows, I know he does. But he's agreed to come with me; maybe he's tired of running away and accepted his fate.

He stopped in his tracks and peered back at me with an oddly sincere smile, "Lead the way, Miss-" He continued, "I'm sorry what is it that everyone calls you? It slipped my mind."

"Victoria.", I said through my teeth.

"Perfect. Miss Victoria, please lead the way.", he extended his arm to indicate his expectancy for me to guide him.

Without a word I stepped in front and began to walk. With a plan in mind and a weapon close at hand.
