I invited a boy to lunch with me, grayson, and ryland
emma and ethan hadn't sat with us in weeks
the boy I had invited, scotty, brought two friends with him
shane and garrett
I didn't actually expect scotty to show up, we only talked once, and just texted since then
and he seemed odd - sad even - when I had asked him to sit with us
lunch didn't go as planned
the six of us were all nervous
we barely clicked
