The huge floor to ceiling wood door opens up to a lit up room full of dancing, laughing and drinking. Huge columns line the sides of the room were the long tables of food hide. The entrance is a huge marble staircase leading to the dance floor. And behind that is a huge half dome circling fourteen thrones, one for each major god and goddess. I walk in and step to the side whispering my name and mentor to the announcer. "Introducing Lucy Heartfilia, Of Hera" he yells. I am a little late so a lot of heads turned towards me as I walked down the marble staircase with a smile plastered on my face. Waiting for me at the bottom was Laxus in all his manly glory.
He was wearing his signature outfit. He changed, his hair is just a bit longer and he's even more muscular than before. "Hey" he says holding out his hand.
"I see You've learned some manners" I respond.
"Don't push it" he says.
He takes my hand and leads me off to the side by the food table. "LUCY!!" Wendy yells.
I gasp "WENDY!!"
I barely recognized her, she still had her blue hair but she'd grown taller and her face matured and isn't so round with youth. She grew up. A small tear slides down my cheek, I promised to stay with her and I missed out. I wiped the tear away and opened out my arms and she great fully embraced me. "I missed you so much" I cry.
"I missed you to" she replied.
A sudden boom resounds throughout the ballroom ending our reunion. "Presenting, The Gods of Olympus". Standing in front of their thrones, Zeus raises his hand to silence the cheering crowd "Welcome to the farewell banquet for our mortal protégés. Tomorrow they will be heading to the dragons realm to train for another 4 years. But before they leave, we, the gods will present our respective pupil with gifts for their travels." He announced, soon followed by applause.
One by one the other students received their gifts from their mentors. The boy called before me was Xander of Hades. His night black hair hung over his one eye, while wearing a black suit and a cape with a thick heavy sword strung across his back. He was gifted a mask that covers half of his face. They called me next, I walk up their with my head held high and kneeled before Hera. "My child, you were chosen for your heart, and ability to conquer immeasurable odds, And so today, I gift you the keys of heroes past, mystical beasts, and even the gods themselves. Show them the love and devotion I know you posses" Hera gushes.
I could not believe my eyes when she hands me at least 30 white keys on a chain. I try to hold in a squeal as I look over the spirits keys. I had all the Greek gods, some monsters and even some major gods from both the Norse and Egyptians pantheons.
"Thank you, my Hera. It is an honor to be bestowed such a gift" I reply with awe and gratitude.
"My child, you have earned your place here and showed just how much strength you posses, it is my honor to have been able to mentor such a wonderful girl" she says lightly stroking my cheek.
"You are like the daughter I never had" she smiles.
I start to lightly cry as I hold her hand on my cheek. "I'm going to miss you" I whisper.
"I will miss you to, but when you are done with training we will meet again." She whispers back.
I nod and step back. The crowd cheers and the festivities soon renews and most of the protégés start to come together and mingle. I met back up with Wendy and Laxus and we all head to go introduce ourselves to the rest of our peers. "Hello" I greet. "I'm Lucy of Hera this is Wendy of the 4 winds and this is Laxus of Zeus, it's a pleasure to meet you all" I say.
A woman steps up and introduces herself first. "Hi I'm Sadira of Aphrodite, and this is Summer of Demeter" she says.
Both of them are truly beautiful, Sadira has long brown hair with golden highlights, her tan complexion matches her ocean blue eyes and curvy figure perfectly. While Summer has chestnut brown hair with hazel eyes and a tall stature. The rest of the protégés introduce themselves, Asena of Artemis, Caleb of Hephaestus, Ray of Apollo, Willow of Athena, Eric of Poseidon, Damon of Ares, Derek of Hermès, Emma of Hestia and Ethan of Dionysus. I noticed that only Xander of Hades was not there, and I looked around the room only to find him lingering in a shadow of one of the columns. I walk over to him "Hey, I don't think I've introduced myself to you before, I'm Lucy of Hera" I say stretching out my hand.
"Xander of Hades" he says not really paying me any mind.
"Do you want to come hang out with us" I say smiling.
"No" he replies quickly melting back into the shadows.
I shrug and make my way back to the group as Xander looks on in the shadows with a bit curiosity gleaming in his eyes.
