My design of Turquoise 👆👆

Also, before you give me shit about how a wheelchair is supposed to work, cut me some slack. This author sangat malas smh

This chapter will seem a bit more fast paced, well that's because, the gems don't really elaborate that much on time. We humans do so much in a year, and could you imagine how boring life would be if they had been as productive as humans were? Like, all their tasks would be completed and there'd be nothing else left to do but sit and rot.

So yeah, I'm time skipping a little bit. Just givin' y'all a headsup yeah? :D Also, expect more time skips in the future.

This author is also selfish hehehe, I really want some tragedy to happen to our poor little protag Turquoise! Oh writing the "I hate life, but I can't die because I'm immortal" chapters will be so much fun~

Just Sensei said, Opal received Turquoise's training schedule later that day. The two would walk along the school in laps, going a little bit farther every time. Turquoise would be pushing themselves through uneven terrains that were much different than the small slopes that could be found near the flower patch they always resided. Opal would occasionally narrate the landscape around them to allow Turquoise to picture them better, though most of the time, they kill the boredom through idle chatter.

They did this for several months, with each passing month, the length of their daily walks would be extended. Gradually, Turquoise slowly noticed the warm shift in the air and the increasingly large amount of sunlight that made them worry slightly. They did express their concerns to Opal, a little confused at why Opal was chuckling. Was there anything humorous in their question?

"Where we live, we experience a natural phenomenon called "Seasons", such things are referred to the change in temperature and weather around us. There are four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter. You were born in spring, where the life on our land stretches itself and bursts into activity once more. Now it's summer, where the sun shines down it's all on us and raises the temperature." Turquoise did have to ask a few more questions to make sure the temperature won't continue to rise until it becomes unbearable for the plants and insects to live.

"There's no need to worry, plants and insects naturally developed some sort of defense against the rising temperature. They won't perish." Only then did Turquoise breathe a sigh of relief. They were highly aware that, if the plants and insects were not cared for, they would perish, never to appear again. That thought terrified them, if they were to sit in the flower patches, with no butterflies fluttering around with soft, pulsing life, it would be so achingly lonely.

The months passed by swiftly after that, with Turquoise joining in family games with the others and Opal cheering them on the sidelines. During these months, Turquoise couldn't help the elated feeling that stuck on them no matter the occasion as they learned to smile more. They became less afraid of Lapis Lazuli and enjoyed the talks they have with them along with Ghost Quartz's presence. (Ironic much? Does Ghost even have a presence? www)

They also found a job of their own.

"These clothes need washing after so long." Aquamarine told Turquoise with a smile as the squishy sound of damp clothes being scrubbed against a wooden board. Turquoise found out that clothes had to be regularly scrubbed clean when Red Beryl asked them to take off their clothes and handed them fresh ones.

"May I lend a hand?" Aquamarine was surprised, but soon relented. "Sure." Turquoise was placed into a kneeling position as Aquamarine guided their hands, showing them how to scrub, rinse and squeeze the excess water out.
