"I must admit, this is really quite remarkable!" Ms Ashmar leaned into Tom, who was also staring wide eyed at the girl before them. "Within just a few hours, she had managed to learn the entire staff, arpeggios, how to play with both hands and is now reading music almost fluently! Are you sure she has never had lessons before?"
Ender glanced over her shoulder at her godfather. Had she had lessons before? She couldn't remember. The girl returned to her music, something composed by a guy named Bach. He sure sounded familiar.
"I'm absolutely sure," Tom said, watching the eight year old girl. "In fact, I've never heard her listen to music."
Yet, despite it all, her small, nimble fingers where racing across the keys and Ender's eyes where trained on the rows of black and white. Every so often, a finger would slip off course, and she would scold her self, as if a voice in the back of her head was telling her that she must be perfect.
It echoed of her father.
Just the thought of the man sent her hands into a forte and a fiercer and more emotional sound. It was almost as if there was another living creature inside her head, forcing the rhythm out her and onto the keys.
A page flipped. The last page. Ender felt her heart race as she felt the end of the song coming. The grand finale. It was truly invigorating.
The chord echoed throughout the room as she pressed her foot down on a pedal. Ender smiled to herself. She had done it. One day. A few mere hours and she had practically mastered the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.
There was a applause behind her. Ender turned to see Ms Ashmar, Tom, the Headmaster, and a couple music students. She could suddenly feel her shyness kick in and felt her cheeks redden. "Th..thank you," The girl said quietly.
Tom leaned into the Headmaster's ear. "May I take her home for the rest of the day?"
The older man nodded. "Of course," he said. "It will need some time to sink in with the fact that your goddaughter is a musical prodigy."

Ender held Tom's larger hand with her thin fingers as the pair walked out of school. Tom was barely an adult, still in university, but he managed to take on the role of her godfather with ease at the age of 22.
Tom Hiddleston had been placed as the girl's godfather when he was only 14. He didn't realize what a role he would have, but when one of his older friends at the boarding school he attended announced that they would be a father at the age of 16, he didn't refuse the offer. Of course, Tom was never directly engaged in Ender's upbringing, for the fact that it rather upset his mother and he still had school to attend. The earliest intervention, and only for quite a time, he had in the girl's life was at her birth. He remembered peering into her crib in the hospital and seeing the newborn child. Her wide brown eyes was what captivated him. Despite being a baby and newborn, she never cried, so Tom suggested the name: Ender.
Unique.
Then after a while, he realized that Ender's parent's weren't the model parents and he needed to intervene again when he was 19. There was rumors going around that Sarah was practically obvious to the fact that she had a child and simply went to work, came home, made something of a supper, and went to sleep. Then he heard that Michel simply ignored Ender, and when she did need attention, the poor child would receive round after round of verbal or physical abuse.
When Tom did arrive to the Angelrona household, he found a fairly well kept house in a nice neighborhood, and pleasant parents.
Ender, though was a different subject. She approached him like a startled deer, wide eyed and cautious. She wore nice clothes, but they didn't fit her, they where practically hanging off a skeleton. The bruise on her side that she showed him when they where alone was what sealed the deal.
Ender's parents where an act and Tom needed to get her out.
It was a long process. The facade was slowly coming down on Sarah and Michel. They would act more careless and show their true selves in front of Tom. Yet still, their record was untarnished. Whenever he tried to get someone from Child Services out to the household, the act would come on and Ender would shy away, silent, refusing to speak.
Tom was at least making a difference. Ender was more well fed and she had someone to go to.
It still wasn't enough.

Hey. Yeah, I'm still alive. I couple people had messaged me, worried. I'm fine. No need to worry. I've managed to get rid of a few of the things that was triggering me, so I've been feeling better.
If you guys want to listen to the piece that Ender played, it should be on the side.
