Oh shit...
"Do you mind explaining yourself!?" asks my dad with blood-red cheeks and a look that could kill you. "It's an innocent party dad, what's the big deal?" I ask with a defiant stance. "The big deal is that there are intoxicated teenagers in the middle of my living room, I've had enough of your attitude and behavior. You're transferring to a school in England." His tone is final but I don't believe him, he's tried throwing the exact same threat at me before and he never went through with it. "Oh wow, as if I'm going to believe that bull." I say crossing my arms and rolling my eyes. "Oh trust me young lady, I'm following through this time." he says with a glare that I've never seen aimed at me before. "OUT! Everyone, party's over." he shouts to everyone else. "Not you Cass, you're going to help clean up." he says looking at the girl who is trying to sneak out with the crowd.

Well, he did follow through. The morning after the party, my bags were packed and I was on my way to the airport. "I can't believe you are actually sending me to England." I say incredulously. He replies by saying, "Well you didn't give me much of a choice did you?" I scoff and roll my eyes. I look out of the window on the plane and think about what England is like and remain quiet.

By the time I wake up, we are in England and getting off of the plane. The weather alone is enough to dampen the mood. Even though I'm being punished, I'm exited to start new, to make new friends, to forget my old life. The car ride is silent, my dad still being mad and all. So instead of striking up a conversation, I start humming to show him that I'm not mad but actually excited. I turn my head to look at my dad and find him looking at me thoughtfully. "What?" I ask laughing. "Are you actually looking forward to this, Sofie?" He asks, shock written on his face. "Maybe just a little." I say sheepishly. Looking out of the window, I see the school that might just change my life for the better.
