''Hampton High School has been ordered to lockdown as of now, 9:13 A.M., it has been brought to our attention that a student has threatened her own life inside the school by trapping herself inside the girl's gymnasium dressing room, student is to be taken as armed and dangerous....''
When my Dad's radio sung throughout the empty room with this message I did not freeze. I was quite calm if you ask me, well, as calm as a girl with a knife in her hand could be. The plain white brick seemed to be closing in on me more as the clock ticked around my breathing.
Armed and dangerous are what I am being described as. Odd how they can pick and choose what is considered these things. Apparently no one's a threat until they come after themselves.
The football quarterback who attacked me at the party last friday was not labeled this, he was said to be a straight A student and someone who ''was kind to his neighbors.'' In God's words wasn't I considered to be his neighbor as well? That doesn't explain the words of you asked for it, being sprayed my him across my locker; he didn't even have nice handwriting.
My Human Studies teacher was not being stuck out to the media when she rubbed my shoulders as I took one of her tests after school, however her hands turned to fists and only left shades of purple and blue on my skin. She later screamed in my face, being embarrassed by my telling to the principle and to the chief of police the next day. How could you have cost me my job like this?
The girl in my Art class was not to be taken this serious when she ripped up my final pieces, crying like a baby for I had used the same technique as her but still got a higher score. It was because she traced an image from the internet, but that was fine.
But I am threatening to myself, so I must be seen as the object that everyone wants to die.
''.... the student has been identified as Katherine Floyd, if you have any further information, please come forward to the police.''
