He was late today, he came five minutes before closing time.
He said a simple 'hello' and ordered his usual.

He put in milk, no sugar, and sat down in his usual spot and sat there listening to music and silently tapping his fingers on the table.

He took his sweet time with his coffee, I didn't want to rush him but was 9pm and I really wanted to go home, it was sleep that I desired.

He didn't make any signs of drinking his coffee faster, only because it was past our opening hours.

I cleared my throat, he looked up from his phone, I already stood by the door and said;'We closed thirty minutes ago, I don't want to be rude but I really want to go home'

He abruptly stood up drank all of his remaining coffee at once put the cup on the counter and walked towards me.

'I'm sorry, I usually come in earlier so I can take my time with drinking my coffee' he said as he walked out of the door.

'I know you usually stay here at least one hour' I said while changing the sign in 'sorry we're closed' and locking the shop.

'you know coffee needs time, it needs to be understood!' He smiled at me, waved and walked away.
